An intense video that asks: Are you willing to die for your faith?

You’ll never see this video in your local seeker-friendly, purpose-driven, entertainment-driven, Mega-Church.

Allow me to preface this video so you get the most out of it: A man and his wife pick up a hitchhiker and it doesn’t take long for the hitchhiker to figure out that they are Christians. But halfway through the long drive where they talk about the weather, the traffic, sports . . .  everything but Jesus Christ, the hitchhiker pulls out a gun and the video picks up from there.

  1. Wow! This is amazing. The conviction was incredible. It makes so much since though; why are we not willing to die for our faith? And why don’t we share our faith with others?

  2. How sad that people are not willing to live the gospel and also not willing to die for it. In the end, even if we die the Bible says, “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain” so people not only have an obscure view of what the Bible says about living but also an obscure view of what the Bible says about dying! If we’re not living for Christ in our daily life then we won’t be ready to die for Christ when it comes down to it.

I lived in England for a time and learned a little bit about suffering for the Lord. Of course, we never had to deal with some of the persecution like a lot of Christians do in other countries. We did have to deal with ‘so-called Christians’ that refused to do what was right. When we tried to address that, we were called all kinds of names, lies were spread about us, and people that we thought were true believers left us because we had ‘offended’ their friend/s.

The Lord gave us grace during that time and we understand (more so) the importance of doing what is right regardless of the cost and there will always be a cost involved when we seek to follow the Lord according to His Word not our thoughts and ideas!!

Anyway, thank you, Stacy, for posting this and may we always be faithful to share the gospel with whoever the Lord brings down our path! May we always be faithful to share the truth of God’s Word even with so-called ‘Christians’ who still refuse to do right no matter what the Bible says!

A great big thank-you to all the ones who strive to do contend for the faith in purity and love! Thank you!

  3. Dear Violet:

Everyone who chooses to follow the Lord and seek to be conformed to Him will walk a lonely road because other professing Christians who are comfortable in their sin, with one foot in church and the other in the world, will not travel that road with you.

They’re simply not serious about the Faith! And they treat those who are with contempt because the ones who seek holiness always make the rest feel uncomfortable. So the Christians in name only do everything in their power to purge the true believers from among them so they can continue in their Vanity Fair uninhibited.

But don’t give up hope. There is a remnant of Believers who not only entered through the narrow gate, but desire to remain on the narrow path, and it is very refreshing and encouraging when we meet them along the way. :o)

  4. The second sentence of your two-sentence “preface” (preceding video), as well as the hitchiker’s final sentences, are crucial: We need not wonder whether we’d respond differently than did the “pastor”; if we’re not evangelizing, we’re ashamed of the gospel and of Jesus, and we’re NOT READY to die for Him, as we’re not truly living for Him, regardless of what we believe we do for Him. He leaves us here upon saving us for ONE REASON; all other ministry is necessitated because His plan entails His leaving us here to preach the RHEMA (Romans 10:17).
