Joyce Meyer’s Conference.

homedefaultbanner.jpg

Prosperity preacher and self-help guru Joyce Meyers teams up with anti-Trinitarian “Bishop” T.D. Jakes and Chris Caine from Hillsong Church for a women-only conference.

Click on the above picture to see more, including a short video where the “concert stage” has the huge words “confidence” hanging at its sides. This video clip also includes T.D. Jakes telling the crowd that their greatest days are in front of them. Also take note of this year’s theme: Purpose & Passion. Hmm. . . where have we seen that word “purpose” and that word “passion” before? Talk about buzz-word overkill.

After viewing the video of the entertainment-driven, emotion-driven, pep-rally extravaganza, consider exploring where all the millions of dollars goes that Joyce Meyer takes in. Click here to see where some of that money is spent.

For those of you who are planning on attending this spectacle September 20-22nd, I’d like to hear from you. What do you think of the glitter and flash? What do you think of the sheer influx of money that she receives from people like you? People who need to get yet another spiritual high from yet another hyped-up conference? And I’m not even talking about Meyer’s heretical teachings (which I’ll post at a later date).

I have a suggestion to all those planning on attending this event. Instead of buying more Joyce Meyer books and paraphernalia and attending more Joyce Meyer conferences (where you can ironically buy even more Joyce Meyer books and paraphernalia) have you considered being a better steward of your time and money? How about getting your spiritual guidance from the Word of God and giving your money to those who need it? I’m not being sarcastic. I’m dead serious. But before you leave your comments, please watch this video first.

  2. Hello.

I have read other comments on other websites that criticize Joyce Meyer and her wealth. This isn’t something that is for us to judge. It is between Joyce Meyer and God. Her income is also received from her books and tapes etc., which she has written and worked on. This is EARNED income. Also, much of the the income generated by partners to the ministry, is used for the betterment of people all over the world (there is an accounting of this on her website).
The books and teaching tapes, DVD’s etc. have greatly improved my own life, and this has been a positive change for me. They haven’t taken the place of my Bible, nor have they replaced God’s place in my life – they are supplemental. 🙂 And the daily program is what lead me to become a born-again Christian and to turn my life over to God. This is a blessing.
Joyce Meyer has suffered greatly in her life, and she teaches that there is hope and light – to never give up. I don’t begrudge anyone who has suffered a nice lifestyle, home etc. I would hope happiness and prosperity for anyone who has suffered. I wish her, and all of us, well.
    Blessings to you.

  3. Hello Shari~ I would like to set aside Joyce Meyer’s wealth momentarily and discuss her theology.
In a book called “The Most Important Decision You Will Ever Make” Joyce Meyer teaches what it means to be born again and what Christ had to do for people to be saved. Read the following comments:
“Although your physical body will die someday, your spirit will continue to live for an eternity. Whether your spirit lives in heaven or hell depends on the choices you have made. In this book, best selling author Joyce Meyer outlines God’s plan of salvation so that you can make a quality decision. Meyer goes on to say, ‘”The spiritual part of you can be thought of as the part of you that cannot be seen with the natural eye. This part of you will live forever. And where the spiritual you lives depends on the decision you make as you read this book.” (Page 8, 1996-Edition)

Now, let’s read what God’s word says, ‘And you [hath he quickened], who were dead in trespasses and sins’ Eph. 2:1
The human heart is dead in sin, dead to the spiritual things of God. When someone is dead, they are not able to bring themselves back to life. So, when Joyce Meyer teaches that you simply must make a ‘quality decision’, she is speaking outside the realm of scripture. She is adding to God’s word, which He forbids {“Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar” Proverbs 30:6}. She is telling you to do something that is humanly impossible. She is teaching a ‘different gospel’.

    Warning, Danger Ahead!
Joyce Meyer teaches that Jesus did not pay for sin upon the cross, but actually went to the torments of hell and made atonement there. The following quote is from Joyce Meyer’s 1991 booklet on being born again which is worded differently in the 1996-updated edition.
“During that time He entered hell, where you and I deserved to go (legally) because of our sin…He paid the price there.…no plan was too extreme…Jesus paid on the cross and in hell….God rose up from His throne and said to demon powers tormenting the sinless Son of God, “Let Him go.” Then the resurrection power of Almighty God went through hell and filled Jesus…He was resurrected from the dead 3Ú4 the first born-again man” (The Most Important Decision You Will Ever Make: A Complete And Thorough Understanding Of What It Means To Be Born Again, 1991, pages 35-36, Joyce Meyer) This quote was found from the Christian Research Institute’s article on Joyce Meyer which can be found by “Clicking Here”.
In her 1996 edition of “The Most Important Decision You Will Ever Make” Joyce Meyer states the same things but with different wording. “Believe that Jesus did what the Bible says. Believe He is indeed the Son of God, born of a virgin. He took man’s sin on the cross. He did not stay dead. He was in the grave three days. During that time, He entered hell, where you and I deserved to go (legally) because of our sin.” (Page 41, 1996-Edition) Notice the similar wording in this quote compared to the other quote { from http://www.forgottenword.org/meyers.html}.

This is merely scratching the surface. I encourage you to visit the website above and read for yourself. May God open your heart to His truth, revealed in His word by His Spirit.

  4. Hallo,

I am searching for a quotation (either book or audio-sermon) of Joyce Meyer where she definitely states, that “Jesus took on the nature of Satan.”

I know she is following the theology of the JDS-heresy, but couldn’t find a direct statement of her concerning Jesus taking on himself the nature of Satan.

Her sermon What happened from the cross to the throne is no longer available. Maybe you can help me with a source or a reference for validation.

Thank you for your kind efforts

    God bless!

    Georg
