By no means does this blog have any intentions of getting involved in politics with the exception of when politics and religion become so intertwined in some cases, that I feel a certain event needs to be addressed. This is such a case.
Pat Robertson of 700 Club fame has officially endorsed Rudy Giuliani for president. Click here to read Robertson’s endorsement and click here to read the news article.
I have two questions: First, why in the world are Christians getting involved with this kind of stuff? Second, why is Robertson endorsing Giuliani?
Let’s take a quick look at the man Pat Robertson is endorsing as president of the United States of America:
Amazing. Pat Robertson supporting a pro-choice candidate. Doesn’t seem right does it?
It just goes to show that Pat Robertson is the Hypocrit I always thought he was.
Government and Religion do not mix. Roger Williams and Thomas Jefferson taught us that. I wrote an article some time ago about this very issue. If you’d like to check it out, here is the link:

I love how politicians like to make up rights out of thin air yet at the same time ignore the ones clearly written in the in the Constitution.

I heard that, bro! For a long time I tried to do the Christian/Conservative thing, and split time between posts about theology and posts about politics. I’ll tell ya right now, it don’t work. I found myself doing so many political posts that anything else got squeezed out. Now, about the only political stuff I do is on illegal immigration. Sometimes, less is more.
