Have you noticed lately how heretical teachings and doctrines of demons are becoming more bold, blatant, and in your face? Well thanks to Christian Research Network and Truth War Central for this video to remind us of the perilous times we live in, where if possible, even the elect will be deceived.
Watch this one minute “aposta-mercial” and see if you can spot the falsehood.
Heart breaking. What can be said about such a person that would deny the very foundation of the Bible?
Galatians 1:8-9
[8] But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
[9] As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
This man is a pastor of a church with an attendance of over 18,000, his teaching is possibly heard by millions, and he would lead them all into destruction. The entire Bible contradicts his claims. The Old Testament prophesies it, the Gospels presents it, and the New Testament confirms it; JESUS IS THE MESSIAH. The Greek word “Christ” was used to reference the Hebrew word “Messiah” in Scripture which, of course, was written in Greek. Whenever Jesus is referred to as Christ, it carries the same claim as using the word Messiah.
Jesus is the Messiah.
John 1:40-41
[40] One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.
[41] He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messiah, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
John 4:25-26
[25] The woman saith unto him, I know that Messiah cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
[26] Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
Whoever denies that Jesus is the Messiah/Christ is a liar and antichrist.
1 John 2:22-23
[22] Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
[23] Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: but he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
The Jews DID accept Jesus as the Messiah.
Martha, the sister of Lazarus, was a Jew, and she declared Him to be the Messiah/Christ. (John 11:25-27)
Simon Peter was a Jew and he accepted Jesus as the Messiah/Christ. (Matthew 16:15-16)
Phillip was a Jew and preached that Jesus was the Messiah/Christ. (Acts 8:12)
Every book of the New Testament, except 3 John, refers to Jesus as the Christ, the Messiah. John had referred to Him as the Christ in his previous epistles, Gospel account, and the Revelation. Every author of the New Testament believed and taught that Jesus is the Christ and Messiah.
JESUS IS THE MESSIAH!
We are told the apostasy, the “falling away”, would be a sign preceding the end. I pray each of us is ready.

Sorry for the size of my post. I was…grieved.

It’s quite all right. You made very good points and used Scripture. Of course there will be those who disagree and will begin by saying, “You shouldn’t judge . . .” and “I feel . . .”
But where the Word of God is made the foundation, all their justifications and excuses fall to the wayside.

As an update: Pastor Hagee has begun to retract some of his heretical statements. He still has a long way to go, but this is the first good news I’ve heard from the heretical fringe of the radical sects of Christianity.

Pastor Hagee is still letting his geopolitical fight against antisemitism color his theology and preaching, but he seems to be making progress back to the truth. Here are some excerpts from Pastor Hagee’s public statement:
“God could have sent His Son to earth as the reigning Messiah the Jews were expecting. Instead He chose to send Him as the suffering Messiah, who submitted to the Cross, and I thank Him every day that He did.”
“In the expanded Chapter Ten, I will make the same point with language that does not hide my own perspective on the matter. The primary change will involve how I use the word “Messiah.” In the expanded version, I will clarify the clear distinction between the “Suffering Messiah,” the Lamb of God and the “Reigning Messiah,” the Lion of the Tribe of Judah!”
“I am deeply grieved for any confusion my writing may have caused the body of Christ. It was never intended. I trust this letter and the expanded edition of In Defense of Israel will clarify what I believe. I also hope that we can return our focus to what I had anticipated to highlight all along, the fact that we Christians must shift from condemning the Jews for what they missed to thanking them for what they gave.”
I remain optimistic. His full statement can be read here:

I remember talking about this at a church I attending in the pent/char movement. People wouldn’t believe me. They were coming up with all types of excuses. Such as the video was edited together.
Gotta love those golden calfs
