The Gay and Lesbian Bible: Now everyone can have a Bible that caters to their lifestyle.

Since we live in the time where what is evil is now called good, and what is good is now called evil, would anyone be surprised at publishers producing “Bibles” that not only affirm, but encourage sin?

Wonder no more!

gay-bible.jpg Introducing the world’s first (that I know of) Gay and Lesbian Bible to encourage all those living in sin to remain living in sin.

queer-bible-commentary.jpg Not only can you get your Gay & Lesbian Bible, but now you can sink deeper into error with the Queer Bible Commentary.

All this has got me wondering; since we live in such an inclusive society, why should we neglect the spiritual needs of other lifestyles? Wouldn’t they feel left out? Because of this, I have a few suggestions for these publishers to consider (in jest of course):

1. The beekeepers who like jazz and jellybeans Bible.

2. The serial murderer’s Bible.

3. The heroin addict Bible.

4. The adultery Bible.

5. The abortionist Bible.

6. The pre-teen who’s confused about their gender Bible.

7. The Poker and Beer-night Bible.

8. The white, middle-aged CPA who lives with his parents and has a secret fascination with Sponge Bob Square Pants Bible.

9. The gambling-addiction binge Bible.

10. The Man Boy Love Association Bible for those who can’t find Jesus saying anything against child molestation.

I welcome your suggestions.

  1. I’m in the KJV only minority.I don’t like versions that have”a son of the gods”or”hades”in them.Is it any wonder that the most godless nation on the planet also has the most Bible versions?

  2. I just looked at the blurb about the Queer Bible Commentary:

“Contributors draw on feminist, queer, deconstructionist, utopian theories, the social sciences and historical-critical discourses. The focus is both how reading from lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender perspectives affect the reading and interpretation of biblical texts and how biblical texts have and do affect lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender communities.”

I then looked at the New Bible Commentary whose stated aim is to offer:

“a fundamental contribution to understanding the Bible”

In other words, the Queer Bible Commentary begins with Queers while the conventional Bible Commentary begins with the Bible. This is the oldest sin in the world beginning with Eve’s “it seems like a good piece of fruit to me”.

  3. Mike, that quote was kind of amusing. They don’t seem to realize that reading from a completely wrongheaded perspective can indeed affect one’s reading of the text.

People are much too good at making excuses.

  4. Brothers in Christ,

You can say all you want about the Catholic Church (and the Pope and the Magisterium). I also get side comments from non-Catholic Christians who (mistakenly) believe that the Church tells us what to believe. But I know that the fundamental teachings on sexuality, contraception, abortion, euthanasia, Christ’s divinity, etc. won’t be subject to anyone’s interpretation or the whims of the times. The Church teaches us to hate the sin but love the sinner. I will pray for these poor souls.

  5. As you may know the New Testament was originally written in Greek. There are many words that we didn’t have meanings for. This bible more accurately called the Source New Testament uses meanings of words not discovered until after 1976. The other popular bibles use meaning and suppositions prior to 1929. The name Study New Testament for Gays, Lesbian, Bi and Transgender, is only a marketing strategy.

    Have a God Blessed DAy!
