1. Chick Tracts! Really?!? We don’t even have a public photo of this tinfoil-hat conspiracy theorist!

   We’re talking about the publisher of the scandelous Alberto Rivera: the widely disproven fraud that even Evangelicals know to be a liar? Accusations that were soundly rejected by investigative reporting from Christianity Today.

   We are talking about that “Somkescreens” garbage that claims that Hitler was a loyal servent of the Pope and that the Holocaust was a Vatan-backed massacre to kill all the Jews and the heretics? That Roman Catholicism is really a secret Babylonian cult? That the Jesuit Order instigated the American Civil War? HA!!

   On these tracts you can read such gems of wisdom as: “YES! The name of every protestant church member in the world is being recorded in the big computer in the vatacan.” and “IHS stands for Isis, Horus, and Seb, the Egyptian Trinity.” (that is what the old tract said before people pointed out that no other religion believes in a Trinity… they are three seperate gods. The tract was revised to make the lie more believable. It is still not right because Isis, Horus, and Seb are minor players in the Egyptian pantheon compared to the other major Gods.)

   Wow… I did not know that the Roman Catholic Church had the time to compile such an impossible database what with them founding the Freemasons, the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormonism, Unity, Christian Science, and Islam all while forcing civil governments to murder people who do not worship the death cookie… even today!

   For the record, Osiris was the Egyptian god of life, death, and fertility. He was not a sun god. Evey kid who watches “Stargate” knows that Ra is the sun god. The picture drawn in the tract of the sun on the wall with the hands on the wall is neither Osiris nor Ra. It is the heretical sun god Aten which Pharoah Akhenaten attempted to espouse as he imposed his monotheistic religion in ancient Egypt… it was quickly rejected.

   And by the way, IHS are the first three letters of Jesus’ name in Greek. His name in Greek is: ΙΗΣΟΥΣ ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ. ΙΗΣ is IHS or JHS in English (Iota eta sigma) Lots of protestant churchs have IHS printed on their pulpits.

2. …oh, but Roman Catholic teaching on the Lord’s Supper is bad doctrine. I use the Bible to know that. Ever notice how little Scripture is in these little gossip books?

   Roman Catholics teach that the bread becomes Christ’s body and the wine becomes Christ’s blood. They teach that this happens by the consecration of the priest and that it is a sacrifice. That is metaphysical speculation that contradicts Scripture.

   In reality, the bread is Christ’s body and the wine is Christ’s blood (four things: bread, body, wine, blood). This happens not by the power of the priest, but by the authority of Christ’s Words of Institution. It is not a sacrifice, but a means of grace that offers life, comfort, and the forgiveness of sins.
