As I shake my head at the barbaric behavior in which Islam constantly finds itself, I have to wonder if we harnessed just 10% of their fanaticism and applied it to our faith how much Christianity would be different than it is today in the West. I’m not talking about violence, cruelty, and terrorism. I’m talking a reverence for God, not watching movies where His name is blasphemed, not allowing an Elvis impersonator to lead worship, not depicting our Lord as a duck, not preaching sermons on the topic of God Loves Sex, not glorifying Las Vegas and poker in church, not inviting someone who’s opposed to everything our faith holds dear to speak at your church, not mocking the very Word of God with heretical versions of the Bible, not having scantly clad girls dancing on stage at a “Christian” Christmas concert, and the list goes on and on.

I agree, if only we Christians did have only 10% of the fanatisicm of Islam. Don’t get me wrong either. Islam is a false religion and they all need to repent and trust Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior. But if we could regain a reverance. I do want to say though, as culture changes so does reverence. I don’t think it is ok to use His name a a cuss word in a Movie, but some people will tell us we need to dress a certain way, talk a certain way, and walk a certain way. I would hope that you don’t consider this to be part of the issue of reverence.

I wasn’t necessarily referring to dress, but that is an area that needs to be considered. Ever seen how some women show up in church? Men too?
I’m not even talking about a shabby lack-of-reverence appearance, I’m talking about suggestive and seductive clothing. There’s no place for it in church, but the current state of the church is in such bad shape, most churches can’t do a thing about it. Any many won’t for fear that they’ll lose that person to the church down the street.

Here in Britain the society became secular and it opened a huge gap for Islam to get in. Britain is being made into an Islamic state and it has itself to blame- because as a society they left the real God. Consequently, the family has suffered, the young drink themselves senseless, morality has gone and there are no absolutes. All that counts is money and acquiring more and more gadgets to try and satisfy the Thirst that the lack of God has induced. In this terrible situation Islam is stepping in, trying to get sharia law to the British society and proclaiming that the Christians are to blame for the lack of morality.(Thinking, of course, that westerns are all Christians). We have to resist Islam as real Christians, knowing that Allah is not the God of the Bible and that his agenda is very different from the real God’s. Real Christians show the works of salvation in their lives, not that they are necessary for salvation, but they certainly appear following the regeneration. This society here , as in America, need the real jesus Christ, the only one Who can change people from inside.
