I found this poll over at Proclaiming the Gospel and thought that it would be a great poll to post here (with three of my own additions).
Which is your supreme authority for spiritual truth?
1). My experience and opinion.
2). My church and clergy.
3). My parents and family.
4). My heart.
5). What seems right to me.
6). Whatever works.
7). My Bible.
Of course, if your answer isn’t found here you can add it in your comments.

In my opinion and what I have read, the Holy Bible is the source of all things. Therefore, I can learn until the arrival of Lord Jesus…. The Holy Bible reveals the beginning, creation, establishment of life and religious creeds, wisdom, the laws, prophesy, the Life of Lord Jesus, salvation, prayer, death, resurrection, faith and so forth. God is not a respecter of people, so what is this “Bible + Revelation” , which some keep adding? Does God allow some Christians and Quasi-Christians more revelation knowledge than others, which drifts down from heaven? Are some healed and others are not? Well of course not and if this would be the case then why do charismatic/Pentecostals like Reformers wear glasses, hearing aids and die of diseases; such as heart failure at the same ages? Why do charismatic churches believe that they are being blessed with an esoteric knowledge, whereas others are not? Laziness and the lack of doctrine through reading and studying the Word of God somewhat comes to mind……hmmmmm.
Before being drawn to God, repentance and metamorphosis into Reform theology, I too was one time a member of a charismatic mob that believed in today’s false prophets, which could talk to God for me. I also was duped into the false belief of esoteric revelation, healing for today from a prophet, false gibberish tongues and other mumbo-jumbo…. However, upon seriously studying, I could see that the charismatic churches that I attended did not lined-up with God’s Word.
Until “His” arrival or my departure, I do not need any other mediator outside of Lord Jesus, I certainly don’t need hocus-pocus, or tea leaves, nor I certainly, don’t need a hat with a rock in it either; like cultist….. I do need my Holy Bible and all things will be revealed. If all things are revealed in the Holy Bible then why add to God’s completeness?
Holy Bible plus nothing
Jesus is Lord

Feasting upon the words of the Bible, not nibbling, not snacking, not casually and occasionally perusing when “I feel like it”, but earnestly devouring the word frequently, daily, feeding myself spiritually as often or more than I feed my self physically.

I understood that he, she, or it would be with us to the end of times, on hell? suffering like you? wow!
