New Age guru Oprah Winfrey pushing New Age author Eckhart Tolle’s book “A New Earth.”

The man in the following video does a good job at explaining the problem with Oprah, and just how dangerous she is.

And Oprah explains how she reconciles her New Age occultism with her “Christianity.”

  1. I can almost hear Satan speaking his lies through that bottom video. Oprah really is following “doctrines taught by demons” & she probably doesn’t even realize it.

  2. I find it comical that Oprah claims that man made God in his own image, and then in almost the same breath says (I’m paraprashing) “The preacher said God is a jealous God. God isn’t jealous! That’s not MY God!”

If that isn’t creating her own god to suite her tastes, I don’t know what is.

  3. It’s hard to listen to someone like Oprah who claims to be a Christian, yet she uses no Scripture to back up any of her statements. She has put way too much faith in man. I am reminded that Paul had warned believers of this very thing.

Colossians 2: 8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

Both videos of Oprah don’t surprise me. I feel sorry for her because she has become an instrument for Satan’s lie. It is my hope for her and the millions of people being led astray by her, that their eyes be opened to the lie that is being told to them before it is too late!

2 Thessalonians 2:9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

  4. Caleb, Ruth, and Amy: You are right on. One of my family members explained that they were watching this series with Oprah and within 15 seconds I new that it was New Age thinking. This makes me want to gather my entire church together and go door to door and share the good news of Jesus. I am a Christian by the way. These New Age believers are touching millions every time this shows. That gives me the chills! I believe Christians, I include myself in this, need to start spreading the good news of Jesus every single day. We can’t sit back and hope that people see the way we live our lives and they say I might go to church with them one time. Talk to them about Jesus and how he has changed your life and works in your life. New Age is catchy with nominal Christians and other believers because there is no accountability other than yourself because you put the focus all on yourself. I have only been a strong Christian for 4 years and God has changed my entire life. Being a Christian is not a perfect life by the way. You will be challenged in ways that will test your faith. God bless you all!

  5. If I dare to give another point of view, Echkart teaching is about freedom from the ‘fleshly’ mind. Many Christians who I have met seem to create their sense of self from, having the correct beliefs. (Yes, to be honest I no doubt do the same thing)

But in this case Christianity means more than anything having the correct beliefs, which provides a sense of superiority over others, a convenient way to divide the world up into ‘believer’ and ‘unbeliever.’ So called ‘Unbelievers’ thus are stripped of their humanity, they are ‘not like us’, therefore if we are to show love and service to them, it is only so they can be ‘saved’ and join our tribe.

This way of thinking provides security for the ego, but should Christians be about satisfying the ego in this way? Is it wishy washy or weakness to listen, to accept others, to be willing to learn new things, to have our beliefs questioned, to acknowledge doubts? Does this not rather display a measure of maturity and even humility.

Personally Eckhart’s teachings have been really helpful and an inspiration. I am no longer so self obsessed and have found a freedom and a gratefulness to God for the continual blessings of life.

I beg you all to be more open minded about Tolle and Winfrey. They are speaking for the good of Mankind.

Theirs is the path of Peace. As is Christ’s. We all need to get along!

It’s time for a new religion that’s inclusive!

  9. Oprah didn’t seem too prepared for the question in that last video. She had to dance around a little bit and try hard to reconcile her supposed Christianity with her New Age beliefs. Her answer was very telling in that she does admit that she doesn’t believe in the divinity of Jesus, or that Jesus was sent to the earth to start Christianity. And, there’s that term christ conciousness again — what New Agers like to use to try to tie Christianity in with their beliefs. I have news for Oprah — God isn’t jealous of *you* and it isn’t all about *you*. Sadly, not only has Oprah become a shill for the New Age movement, but she has also lost all touch with reality. Power can corrupt, absolutely.

  10. Oprah doesn’t understand how could God, Who is all-powerful, and Who owns everything, be jealous of human beings? What a tragic misunderstanding, and what a shallow view of Scripture.

Oh, God is jealous, alright. “God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.” (Nahum 1:2) But He is not jealous of what people have or what they are able to do. He is jealous because of the love He has for his Own people. We might say He is jealous over His people, not of His people – the way a loving and faithful husband would be jealous over anything that would tend to steal his wife’s affection away from him.

God loves His people very much. And although we would rather hear about the love of God, we must not ignore the fact that God reserves wrath for the enemies of His people. Even though God is love (I John 4:8), He also hates (Psalm 11:5).

Recently, my wife and I visited California. On the flight I was reading Nahum Chapter 1, and looking down at the tops of the clouds, which the Bible calls “the dust of his feet,” and I got to thinking about some of the ways the Lord shows His righteous anger, and His power over His creation.

Nahum 1:3: “The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.” (tornadoes, hurricanes, and storms)

Nahum 1:4: “He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.” (droughts)

Nahum 1:5: “The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.” (earthquakes, mudslides, and forest fires)

Nahum 1:6: “Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.” (volcanoes, avalanches)

Nahum 1:8: “But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.” (floods)

Most people, when asked to quickly name the opposite of “love,” will blurt out, “hate.” But this is incorrect. The opposite of love is not hate. The opposite of love is indifference. And our loving and just and jealous God is anything but indifferent.
