While California takes steps to ban homeschooling here’s a great example as to why so many parents are choosing to home school their children . . . and it has nothing to do with evolution.

This article is so true! I made sure my children could read because I wanted them to have the same love for books that both Desert Pastor and I have. I used to ask my children what the difference was between a sentence that went something like this:
The dog jumped over the stream.
Compare this to a better sentence:
The beautiful Dalmatian gracefully and easily bounded over the stream whispering its way through the foliage of the autumn banks.
There is so much to reading and writing and the fact remains that reading helps to open the mind (depending on what you put into the mind).
The fact is that no one knows our children as well as we do and can teach them as well as what we can! The public schools are definitely deficient in truly caring for our children like we do.
I never thought I would have the patience to teach my children but in teaching them the Lord taught me patience! I praise Him for His grace and mercy in allowing me the privilege of teaching my children. I also praise the Lord because through us having our children at home we have become a very close-knit family.
