Now that the controversy over Barack Obama’s pastor has all but blown over, I thought I’d offer you some short video commercials to watch that will provide you with a better understanding of Barack Obama and Jeremiah Wright’s denomination; the United Church of Christ.

Deuteronomy 32:19
The LORD saw this and rejected them because he was angered by his sons and daughters.
1 Samuel 15:23
For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has rejected you as king.”
1 Samuel 16:7
But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
2 Kings 17:20
Therefore the LORD rejected all the people of Israel; he afflicted them and gave them into the hands of plunderers, until he thrust them from his presence.
1 Chronicles 28:9
“And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.
Psalm 119:118
You reject all who stray from your decrees, for their deceitfulness is in vain.
Jeremiah 2:37
You will also leave that place with your hands on your head, for the LORD has rejected those you trust; you will not be helped by them.

There is a huge difference between the two statements 1) God doesn’t reject people! and 2) Neither do we!
The first is true ONLY when they come to the foot of the cross and plead for mercy, turn from their wicked ways, seek forgiveness, and humble themselves before the Sovereign God of heaven.
OTHERWISE, the Bible is clear in John 3:36 – “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”
One of the problems with “The United Church Minus Christ” is that along with the majority of so-called evangelical churches, they have used the cut and paste method in their Bibles as pointed out by Barry. Their statement simply tells us and every viewer that you can enjoy the fruits of your sin and still God your Father.
Another problem with the video is that they lumped in crying babies, the lame, the poor, etc. with the wicked abomination of homosexuality as though it was another social injustice that has been wreaked upon the men and women who were born with a warped, depraved mind that screams in rebellion against God.
In case somebody misses the point, the warped, depraved mind is found in every human being who has ever lived or ever will.
Romans 3:10-18 says,
10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
15 Their feet are swift to shed blood:
16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:
17 And the way of peace have they not known:
18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
Are we to be welcoming to anybody who walks through our doors? YES!! However, that does not mean we accept their sin and allow them to “JOIN” our ranks without the change that is only brought about by the gracious working of the Holy Spirit as He brings sinners to repentance!
