Barry doesn’t believe God’s word, yet he believes God is still speaking.I don’t see the logic.

From what Barry Lynn stated I gather two things about his beliefs: (1) he considers himself to a “liberal Protestant”, and (2) he believes the Bible is not the complete, authoritative Word of God (“God is still speaking”).
The Protestant position, since the first days of the Reformation, has always been, and will always be, Sola Scriptura. The Bible is the complete, revealed Word of God and is the only authoritative work for determining matters of doctrine and faith. While a person may claim to be Protestant, if they do not espouse Sola Scriptura, they violate the very foundation of Protestant belief.
Therefore, while Mr. Lynn may honestly proclaim to be liberal, he is in error when proclaiming himself Protestant.
