Bible Reference Notes: “The Holy Scriptures”

Bible Pulpit I’ve decided to begin a new series of posts on DefCon called Bible Reference Notes. The idea of this project is to publish a post containing a list of numerous Bible verses on a selected subject–broken down into subcategories–all designed for the sole purpose of quick reference.

Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Simply select and copy the below Bible Reference Notes.

Step 2: Paste the text onto whatever word document you use.

Step 3: Make sure everything lines up correctly (or how you would like it) on your word document since transfers from one format to another sometimes requires adjustments of the text layout.

Step 4: Print the text on your printer.

Step 5: Cut to size and adhere to the inside cover of your Bible. Keep in mind that Bibles come in all different sizes and shapes so you may want to increase or decrease the size of the font depending on how much room you have. The current font size setting is 7.

Now with this inside your Bible cover, you can use it as a quick reference when dealing with that particular topic. I will make more Bible Reference Notes available to you as I put them together.

The first post in this series will be on the topic of Scripture itself. More often than not, Scripture’s inerrancy, clarity, perspicuity, origin, and purpose are called into question (many times by those who profess to be Christians). So today’s Bible Reference Notes are a great resource to have when dealing with the topic of the Bible’s inspiration, endurance, what it is, what it does, etc.

If this is helpful to you or you find any errors, please leave me a comment.

May this bless you and strengthen you in your Pilgrimage and remember, Never Compromise!

  1. This sounds great because I could really use this (especially in evangelism) but (and maybe I’m missing the point!) there won’t be much room – I’ve only got about 4 pages back and front of my Bible if you’re not getting into binding. How do you see it progressing?

But I must say the references on cripture you’ve done are really helpful. What about Ps.119:160?

  2. Dear Jim:

I recommend reworking the structure/layout and shrinking the font size to make it fit. If this still does not work, you can print it out and stick it in your Bible (like a bookmark). You could even get it laminated if you so desire.

Feel free to remove or add whatever you wish in order to tailor it to your preference.

    Sincerely,

  3. Pilgrim,

Thanks for the Ref Notes. This is a great idea. I had an a short but interesting discussion with JW young man at my door. After reading some of your discussions back and forth with TJ I am amazed and better understand the term “Scripture Twisting” now.
