Now that Azariah Southworth, the host of a Christian youth show called The Remix has “come out of the closet,” he concedes that this will end his career in Christian television. However, he says, “I believe by me living my life honestly and authentically now, I am able to be a better person and a better Christian.”
I wonder how many Christian teens spent hours sitting in front of their televisions watching this man.
May the Lord grant that miserable lost soul mercy and repentance in this life lest he have an authentic experience of eternal damnation and hellfire in the afterlife.

Coram Deo you are a fool. I’m ashamed to be your brother because you judge other people. I think with your statement you declare by yourself that you are lost and that you don’t know God. This is not a respond out of love. My prayer will be that the Holy Spirit will minister to him and show Him the right way. And being a christian with homosexual feelings is not wrong. He doens’t proclaim that he shared a bed with other men. Are you better than he? You have a lot to learn about God men. What he needs are his friends now who help him in this time. And heaps of love.

JK,
Romans 1 is a great place to start.

Thanks for dropping by and sharing your comment Jk!
I pray that you might reconsider your career as an apologist for homosexuality.

1 Corinthians chapter 5 is also another great place to venture after reading Romans 1.

Unrepentant sinners give evidence that they aren’t true Christians – even when they profess Christ – since there is no such thing as a disobedient, regenerate, born-again child of God.
This is not to say that true, invisible church, regenerate Christians never sin – they do; frequently and miserably – yet in stark contrast to the unregenerate a true regenerate Christian flees from their sin in revulsion and loathing turning away from their sin (repentance) and turning toward God. They run desperately to the foot of the cross of Christ for washing in His miracle working blood rejoicing in His all sufficient grace.
On the other hand the false convert who professes Christ with his mouth or by some mere intellectual assent to the truth claims of Christ demonstrates the true nature of his spurious and demonic faith by justifying and excusing his continuing patterns of unrepentant sin and rebellion. This is self-righteousness exemplified and is an abomination before the Most High God.
Sin is not a light thing to be trifled with because God’s infinite holiness and justice demand an equally infinite wrath and punishment to be poured out upon the guilty sinner. Christ drank the cup of the wrath of God the Father on the cross for those who are called by His Holy Name. And those who are called by His Holy Name will not openly and publicly shame and dishonor their King Who shed His sinless, perfect blood on their behalf. No my friend, this is the work of the enemies of Christ who honor Him with their lips, but their hearts are far from Him.
Therefore since no sin can enter the kingdom of heaven it is the Christian’s duty and honor to rebuke those who oppose themselves. This is to be done in a spirit of truth and love with the prayerful hope that God may show forth His mercy and miraculously translate wicked sinners from spiritual death unto spiritual life.
Therefore I conclude that the God-accursed sodomite referenced in the article linked above is in desperate need of repentance and mercy because God already loves Him as much as He is ever going to love Him.
Jk was right about one thing, that poor deceived young man needs friends – REAL friends who will tell him the truth and not the type of “friends” – so called – who will make him feel “comfortable” and “accepted” on his way to hell.

Coram,
Well put. Another perversion of the truth of God’s love by 21st century American civilization.
Pressing on,

Jude 1:7–“As Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality [read Genesis 19 if you want to know what kind of sexual immorality] and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”
Now, there is a grain of truth in JK’s comment. There are men who are attracted to other men, but who know that is a sin and either abstain from any type of physical affection, or who marry into heterosexual marriages. Southworth may be one of these men.
However, if he thinks he can be a child of God and live in outright rebellion against God by committing acts that God calls “abomination”–and yes, that is also a New Testament word, see Luke 16:15 and Revelation 21:8 and 21:27–then he is going to have a rude awakening some day.

Amen fourpointer! Your comment is spot on.
And prior to posting my initial comment I read Southworth’s homosexual testimony which is presently linked from Ingrid Schlueter’s Slice of Laodicea website and by his own words he’s the latter of your examples, not the former.
Sadly many within the wishy-washy, subjective, sentimental theology camp of the modern professing church can’t conceive of anyone actually pointing to patterns of open, continual rebellion, calling it sin, and proclaiming the eternal truth that those who practice lawlessness will burn in hell forever and therefore must repent of their sin and iniquity, humble themselves, and become obedient to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
To me it’s almost inconceivable how much damage the modern day shallow, hollow, non-gospel of nothingness has done to the church and the eternal trajectory of men’s souls.
The good news really isn’t that good unless the bad news really is that bad.
