A couple weeks ago I found this short film on Youtube and–even though I have reservations about a few parts–felt compelled to share it with the DefCon readers.
I didn’t quite get the ending at first but after playing the ending a second time it hit me: Wow! What a devastating video. It moved me greatly.
I then put it away until tonight when I watched it again. This time it moved me to tears. I encourage you to watch this short film, it definitely puts things into perspective regarding the issue of abortion.
Three unborn babies give an account of their time within the confines of the womb. Starting from the point of conception, they chart their development, voicing delight at the discoveries that come with each new week. However, as the thirteenth week approaches the excitement for one soon vanishes. A voice formally brimming with an expectation of life out in the real world is silenced when it meets a murderous fate, one that will ensure it never leaves the womb alive.
Thanks for sharing that sobering video, Pilgrim!
The sad part is that the young woman will face the guilt of murdering the little life for the rest of her life, but what is even sadder is that it will not end there. Without the forgiveness of sins, the sin and guilt and shame of every aspect of her life will remain ingrained in her thoughts for all of a Christ-less eternity in the lake of fire!
There is forgiveness at the foot of the cross not only for those who have murdered their babies, but all who come in humility recognizing their need of the Saviour through the work of the Holy Spirit.

I have been a christian now for 14 years. Prior to my salvation, I had 7 abortions. Yes, you read correctly…seven. I was a lost, prideful, scared, selfish individual who only cared about herself. To this day I cannot look at little babies or watch things like this and not be overwhelmed with grief. Our gracious Lord forgave me for murdering my seven babies, but it is still so difficult to live with the knowledge of what I have done.

It’s not only women who have an emotional scar from committing this murder… when I was younger, my girlfriend and I aborted the child we had out of wedlock.
I’m not proud of it, and though knowing that I have been forgiven, it still haunts me sometimes knowing that I have committed murder…

I truly feel for you Anonymous and you too Isaiah. The grief must be overwhelming when you consider the gravity of what was done and when you think about what that child (children) would have looked like today.
As DP said, there is forgiveness in Christ Jesus and it sounds like you both have found it. I rejoice for that.
Thank you both for Your candidness about your experiences with abortion (and the grief that it creates). It’s the side of abortion that Planned Parenthood doesn’t tell you about.
This video should be viewed by all those considering abortion. And for those who need the brutal truth, I recommend viewing these pictures and these videos (WARNING – GRAPHIC).

P.S. I encourage you to listen to the short John Piper clip on suffering found onthis post.
