As a follow-up to CD’s post, I found this video of how the Seeker-Sensitive, Flesh-Driven Purpose-Driven follower would sing “Ode To Joy,” and who the focus of their worship really is:
In case you can’t understand the lyrics, here they are:
Me me me me
Me me me me
Me me me me
Me me me me
(Repeat)
Galatians 6:14—God forbid that I should glory but in the Cross of Christ, by which the world was crucified unto me, and I was crucified unto the world!
Just like the character in the clip, eventually they too will come crashing down when there is more of the “me” syndrome than of Christ.
I found the two chaps at the end of the movie to be quite amusing, but with one caveat – I can’t help but wonder whether our attitudes will be just as unkind and ungracious when others start collapsing due to the “me” syndrome.
Will we enjoy the rewinds and the play by play commentaries? OR, will we remember that by the grace of God many of us were called out of similar churches and that through such sad situations maybe more will be delivered from the binds that secure them to their little gods who stand in pulpits administering huge doses of poison?

What’s worse is hearing, “Well, it isn’t about YOU and what YOU want!” when you confide in a church friend about notcing weak preaching and man-focused worshiop of late and wanting more strong messages and God-honouring worship. MeChurch will fall from the inside out I expect. (Word of encouragement: Keep it up DP!)

Hello, I just came across your Blog from a link from another blogger’s page. I’m enjoying reading your entries.
I have a big question, however. I’ve been trying to add your page as a Feed, but I can’t. I’m finding no Atom or RSS icons.
How can I add your page as a feed??
If you could email me back, that would be great.

In my opinion this little video and its message contain a theological depth that’s easily overlooked.
Both the adherents of the flesh pleasing non-gospel of nothingness espoused by the Seeker Sensitive, Purpose Driven, Emergent/Emerging heterodox Church of the Tares and the characters in the clip sing a chorus devoted to self – an Ode to Me as it were.
Both the adherents of the flesh pleasing non-gospel of nothingness espoused by the Seeker Sensitive, Purpose Driven, Emergent/Emerging heterodox Church of the Tares and the characters in the clip are puppets who are controlled by an unseen hand, a puppet master who controls their actions – on the one hand a human agent is in control while on the other hand a demonic agent is in control.
Both the adherents of the flesh pleasing non-gospel of nothingness espoused by the Seeker Sensitive, Purpose Driven, Emergent/Emerging heterodox Church of the Tares and the characters in the clip are driven by their puppet master to frenzied levels of outward activity and emotion which result is valueless, wasted, futile results.
On the one hand we are able to chuckle at the silly and noisome puppets in the clip, yet for those regenerate true believers in the Lord Jesus Christ who, by the grace of God, can discern the sad estate of the Church of the Tares our hearts should be grieved and we should enter into prayer to our God, the One True and Living God, the infinite Creator and Judge of the universe, that He would convert them and wipe their doctrines of demons from off the face of His earth.
In Christ,

This is very sad although the video in and of itself was a bit humourous. There is so much ‘me’ within the apostate church that you have to wonder why they don’t realize they are worshiping the wrong god. For instance, I watched one of the videos today where they were singing, “We have the best dad in the whole world.” Makes you wonder if they realize they could be talking about Satan instead of God!
