Perry Noble calls us “jack***es”

Well, well, well. It seems as though the High Guru of the hip/cool/relevant, Purpose-Driven, marketing-driven, gospel-less goat pen known as BitterSpring Church doesn’t think it’s all that important to teach the truth of God’s Word. Yeah, I know–go figure, right? This is from the same guy that has no problem joining the house of God with pagans and Satan-worshippers, and who encourages his flock of sheeple to indulge in entertainment that promotes drinking and sexual gratification. And who says that anybody who critiques his Pope, Rick Warren, can “Kiss my…” (I’ll let you fill in the blank).

Well, now, Goat Master Noble has sunk to calling those of us who labor in the word “jacka**es.” Don’t believe me, go over to Apprising Ministries and listen for yourself to what this “man of God” has to say for yourself. Gee, don’t you wish you could be half as hip/cool/relevant as Perry Noble? After all, with one comment, he has managed to disparage men like: Martin Luther, John Wesley, Jonathan Edwards, Charles Spurgeon, George Whitefield, John Owen, AW Tozer, John MacArthur, Martyn Lloyd-Jones, and many, many others–maybe even your own pastor. All in the name of “engaging the culture” and keeping people biblically illiterate. Truly, a devoted student of the High Priest of Purpose.

If Perry would actually blow the dust off his Bible and actually read it, he just might find these words from the apostle Paul in 2nd Timothy 4:1-3I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. Did you catch that, Perry?

But hey, who needs to read that dumb old Bible when you can be fed on the regurgitated vomit of Purpose-Drivenism? Just more fruit from the poisonous tree planted by Pope Warren.

  1. I saw this on Ken Silva’s web site a day or so back. Perry’s attitude reminded me of an evening several years in my former church. We had a so-called “Leadership Summit” and had a guest speaker – the pastor of a church we had sponsored a few years earlier. This man had been youth pastor at our church and I knew his folks – sweet people. His church had grown to mega proportions and he started right off telling us how discipleship was over rated and that the way to reach the culture was to look like and think like the culture.

This was one time the pastors of my former church did something right – but waited until after the fellow was talking. The speaker was “gently” rebuked – but never should have been allowed to speak in the first place and should have been dragged off the stage after he opened his mouth.

  2. I’d prefer to be a jackass rather than “hip/cool/relevant, Purpose-Driven, marketing-driven, gospel-less.” In fact, as far as I’m concerned there’s no comparison.

  4. That they are 4P. Definitely need them when confronted by the likes of those at BitterSpring who defend their golden calf.

  5. I listened to Chris Rosebroughs critique of PN sermon where this was said. The whole sermon was spent telling other pastors how much better he does it than anyone else. Pride, arrogant, contempt of Christians, anger against Christians. He talks about how many are going to hell, that these are the ones he cares about. He didn’t share the gospel, he only mocked others. I assume from that PN believes people are saved by going to church. How far the church is fallen. He was speaking to a bunch of other pastors and they thought everything he said was funny. The church mostly today loves the jokes, the same anyone can hear down the local pub which PN started of with, openly saying in the pulpit how he was p—ed of. PN seems to hate true bible believing Christians who truly follow Jesus and want to know God’s Word. I was saddened as so many follow him. This is the new generation of pastors(so called) who are leading the people to hell, and they are loving it

  6. You people tend to take things way to serious. Actually listen to the message and stop critizing what he preached. I heard it and the context it was put in was stop over spiritualizing everything Jesus is to be celebrated. And no I do not attend n.s or live in the south carolina.

  7. So it’s OK for Perry Noble to call us a vulgar name……but it’s not OK for us to call him on it. Just keep defending the false teachers at the expense of the true gospel.

  8. exactly fourpointer. It’s somehow a horrible sin for people to point out foulmouthed “pastors” who are not living above reproach according to God’s word–be ye holy for I am holy… But it’s okay to defend preachers to continue in their filthy ribald and call people names.

God’s word commands us both in positive and negative terms to keep our language pure in every regard and Scripture gives us that command repeatedly. Col.3:8, 16-17. Col.4:6, Eph.4:29, Eph.5:4-really defines sound speech.

Eph. 5:12, foolish and filthy talk, coarse or obscene should be avoided. Scripture is not silent in any of these areas. flippant irreverence. We are supposed to have some boundaries that we refuse to cross long before we ever get to the realm of actual blasphemy

there clearly lies a deeper spiritual problem with any Pastor who abuses people by calling them names for Jesus said “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks”, and again what comes out of a man defiles him, and again as a man thinks in his heart so he is.”
