  1. Despite it should be obvious to most Christians that t.v is an idol, they will do without God before they will do without a t.v.

Want proof? How many hours do you spend in prayer and the word of God everyday?

How many hours in front of the t.v?

    I rest my case.

  2. We recently sold our TV at a yard sale. It was the best thing we’ve ever done! Now if we could only stay off the computer..

  3. Tanya, that’s my problem too — the computer. We’ve got no TV for some months now since it broke down and we decided to forego the ‘entertainment’. 🙂

  4. I have a question.
At 3 minutes and 13 seconds of the video, who is the preacher who says:
“You mark it down, those who reject the truth, have a strong reason for rejecting it. Because you stand as a threat against something they hold dear in their heart. You stand as a threat, because they know if you are right, they know that if they go the way that God has called you, to full surrender, it’s going to cost them that thing. They are going to have to lay it down.”?

  5. Most television is garbage. There are some informative programs, including some Christian programs on television. It is a matter of what you choose to watch, just like on the computer. It is hypocritical for believers to come down so hard in this area and they are addicted to surfing the net.
I would like to know where the speaker gets his info to document that less than 10% of pastors, deacons and elders are truly born again, according to the Bible. Not that I dispute or agree, just would like to know what this is based on

  7. I agree by their fruits you will recognize those who claim to be followers of Jesus but has this guy personally met everyone who says they are a pastor, deacon, or elder? Only God knows the heart 100%. When we start judging those around us we an exact reflection of the Pharisees.

  8. Anyone who pays attention in church Sunday after Sunday can see that the overwhelming vast majority in attendance bear no fruit at all, and many actually bear bad fruit.

Additionally, instead of splitting hairs on the actual “percent” (because no one can know for sure and the speakers in this video were generalizing . . . 10%, 15%, 20%?) consider if you will that Jesus Himself gave an indication about “how many” in Matthew 7:13-14.

    Hope this helps.
