Oh, how I wish more Christians would acknowledge this. Regardless of denomination or religion, far too many are consumed with religion – allowing the Truth to fall away. My preacher hit a home run today, preaching through Hebrews and on chapter 12:18-29 today. Mercy! Can’t approach God on our terms – He dictates how we come to Him. He nailed some idols, preached Christ with boldness. My, how the souls of the saints were nourished this day. Because religion took a back seat to the Scriptures. It’s how preaching should be done.
