I agree. The ‘ social gospel ‘ ( small ‘g’ ) strips the Gospel of Jesus Christ of it’s power by removing the ‘ inconvenient truth ‘ of Sin , Total Depravity, Judgement , and the Ultimate Sacrifice of Christ. When you take the Heart out, all you have left is a kind of feel-good , you’re OK , I’m OK, let’s all get along , sentimental pile of mush.
