This is so true and I don’t think we can denounce apostasy enough! People are so easily led and believe a lie so quickly that it amazes me!
Ecclesiastes 9:16-18 says, “Then I said: ‘Wisdom is better than strength. Nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, And his words are not heard. Words of the wise, spoken quietly, should be heard Rather than the shout of a ruler of fools. Wisdom is better than weapons of war; But one sinner destroys much good.'”
The foolishness of man is such that he would rather listen to the shouts of another fool such as himself then to listen to the wisdom of God. It’s so easy to let things slide but once we begin letting things slide or excuse it then we will follow that slippery slope and become exactly like the Israelites did in the OT. They began worshiping their own gods instead of the ONE, TRUE GOD! After that, the Lord began disciplining them but they still didn’t want to hear. Hard hearts and closed minds to the truth of God’s Word will bring disaster within our Christian lives! May God forgive us and give us wisdom and spiritual understanding!
