The miserable estate described above – which is the natural estate of all men – is what we call total depravity.
No man will know God apart from that man being known of God. So we see that it’s not who you know, it’s Who knows you!
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity – Matt. 7:23

The Truth is not a philosophy, a set of ideals, or an abstract concept. The Truth is a Person: the Lord Jesus Christ. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)
The Truth is not a man-made religion. Man-made religions set up systems whereby man tries to get to Heaven by doing something to earn God’s favor. That is impossible. The unjust cannot earn God’s favor. “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:” (I Peter 3:18)
