Sermon of the week: “John 1:1 and the Jehovah’s Witnesses” by Don Green.

DefCon will be examining the deity of Jesus Christ throughout the month of December. Each sermon of the week will feature the next installment of this five-part series by Don Green.

We start off with part one today with the sermon entitled John 1:1 and the Jehovah’s Witnesses. This is a superb journey into the doctrine of Christ’s deity beginning with John 1:1. Don Green also takes this opportunity to tackle the heretical teaching of the Jehovah’s Witnesses where they twist this verse. This is a theology lesson you don’t want to miss.

With the precision of a skilled surgeon, Don Green, cuts into the lies of the Jehovah’s Witnesses with four points that systematically proves that their rendering of John 1:1 as “a god” is not only impossible, it’s not even debatable.

This is a fantastic sermon on the defense of John 1:1 that everyone should hear. Sadly the one’s that need to hear it the most (those who deny the deity of Jesus Christ like Jehovah’s Witnesses) will probably never take the time to listen to it. However, if there are any Jehovah’s Witnesses out there who are brave enough to listen to this sermon I challenge you to do so.     Yes, that was my intention from the outset but after reviewing the post I see I failed to communicate that.

    I’ve revised the original post to reflect my intentions with this series.

    I will be posting part two for next Wednesday’s sermon of the week, then part three the following week, and so on.

    I’m glad you liked it, it is a really good message and one I’ve been waiting for a long, long time to post. This is the very first sermon I ever heard from Don Green and I’ve liked him ever since.

  3. I have listened to every sermon Don has preached at Gracelife and the series he preached on the sermon on the mount changed my thinking so much in a positive way, that I’m teaching it in my Sunday school class.
    This sermon is another great one, the deity of Christ is vital to our faith.
    John 8:24 I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.”

  4. I think many households in predominantly Christian Nations do not openly welcome Jehovah’s Witnesses because their door to door ministry seems designed to mislead the housholder into beleiving the same lies that Satan told in the Garden of Eden.

    If you read the following newsletter you should see the parallels to the Edenic Sin:

    They really are like Satan dressed in a nice suit and tie knocking on your door!

    No wonder so many Nations have banned them!
