I John 1:4-10 tell how a true believer can recognize that, although he sins, he can have joy, rather than burden and sorrow.

That’s basically just a commentary on the entire book of 1st John. It is true. The greater the spiritual maturity, the greater the burden for sin, and also the greater realization of and appreciation for what God has done for the elect in Christ.
