Quotes (538)

tedd-tripp You must equip your children to function in a culture that has abandoned the knowledge of God. If you teach them to use their abilities, aptitudes, talents, and intelligence to make their lives better, without reference to God, you turn them away from God. If your objectives are anything other than “Man’s chief end is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever,” you teach your children to function in the culture on its terms.

  1. Wow! A terrific thought. I could not possibly agree more.

As parents of two teens and a seven-year-old, my wife and I have learned the hard way that teaching kids to use their God-given skills, aptitudes, and intelligence to make their own lives better (the way I was brought up), does nothing more than make them well-educated pagans. It does nothing but, as your author states, teach them to function in our rotting culture on its own morally bankrupt terms.

Does anyone know the source of this quote?

    Thanks,

    Jeff
