From the standpoint of the redeemed, the punishment of the wicked is an act of unspeakable mercy. How dreadful would it be if the present order of things should continue forever, when the children of God are obliged to live in the midst of the children of the Devil. Heaven would at once cease to be Heaven if the ears of the saints still heard the blasphemous, filthy language of the reprobate. What a mercy that in the New Jerusalem “there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination” (Revelation 21:27)!

Amen! I feel this is so true in my case! I long for the day when I can be in a perfect environment with the Lord and truly worship Him according to His will!

Pity Joel Osteen wasn’t around to help brother Pink understand God’s best plan for him 🙂

Both His righteousness (Psalm 112) AND His mercy (Psalm 136) endureth for ever. This is because His Truth (Psalm 117) and His Name (Psalm 135) endureth for ever. Therefore, His praises (Psalm 111) will endure for ever. There are no contradictions in the attributes of God, because there is no contradiction in the Person of God.

Amen! And in line with this, Christ die only for the elect. For Him to have died for everybody would put Him at odds with the Father and Spirit, who call and secure only the elect.
