Sola Scriptura (72)

bible page . . . so much the more also Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant. The former priests, on the one hand, existed in greater numbers because they were prevented by death from continuing, but Jesus, on the other hand, because He continues forever, holds His priesthood permanently. Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. For it was fitting for us to have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens; who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people, because this He did once for all when He offered up Himself.

-Hebrews 7:22-27

  1. vegan dude – your comments are showing you to be a person without spiritual comprehension, without a cogent world view. The only true religion has always been focused on the sacrifice of Christ for the forgiveness of sin of God’s elect. All the animal sacrifices were shadows to show the inability of such to cover sin and point to the perfect One Who could – and did.

  2. pythagoreanvegancommunity please read 1Timothy 4:1-3 . . . . . . that’s if you have a Bible. If not then read it here: “Now the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some will depart from the faith giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from certain foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.”

Did you ever love someone so much that you would die for them without giving it a second thought?

That’s what Jesus Christ did for me and for all who were called out of darkness by the grace of God. It is only by the shed blood of this perfect Lamb of God that we have forgiveness from sin. He left the glories of heaven and became a humble servant and a ransom for all who believe. Your dietary religion won’t save you. Please pray and ask God to save you while there is still time.

  3. “Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink”
    (Col. 2:16a ESV)
Please don’t judge “our” spirituality by what we eat at the breakfast table! Trust me, I’ll never suggest you have bacon with your soy milk and apple muffins!
