The creature above the Creator.

Consider this Exhibit A in man’s Evolution of Sin described in Romans 1.

Worldly “wisdom” places the value of a tree over that of the life of an unborn child and when this mindset is followed to its logical conclusion what you see in this video is the result:

Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures. Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

  1. I saw this on another site, and found it so typical of those who think aborting a baby is a right, but seeing a tree die is a crime.

As some of you may know I am a wildlife photojournalist by profession, and have been for over 25 years.

I love nature and spend a lot of time in remote areas of the northwest, and British Columbia. A tree dying is part of the natural cycle of birth and death in the forest. All serious naturalists will tell you that in death comes abundant new life in the forest.

Eagles and ospreys build their nests on dead snags. Bees use dead trees to build hives which produce honey. Foxes and coyotes often make their lairs under dead tree roots for protection of their babies. The list goes on. God wastes nothing.

Actually, in the scheme of things, that dead tree is probably much more useful in death than these deceived folks above are in real life.

  2. The one woman said they are looking for answers and I would have to agree with her. The problem is that they are looking for answers in the wrong places. How sad that they are talking to trees as if the trees were a god of some kind when there is NO intelligent life within trees. They would do better to mourn over their sin and wail because of the wickedness within their own hearts!

  3. Dawg,

I’m with ya. It was very difficult for me to not burst out laughing at these people. Then it got to the one girl toward the end, trying her best to out-hippie the older hippies (you could tell she wasn’t more than 15 and was trying to impress her friends). “I’ve looked at clear-cuts and burnt forests and I felt outraged and I didn’t scream and I didn’t cry and I need to. AAAAAAGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Pure performance.

And the guy beating the drum. ugh. If only these people could see the death going on inside an abortuary, and unwrap their arms from around the trees…

  4. Romans 1:22-25 sums it up perfectly – thanks for posting that Scripture. I saw this pitiful video a few months ago. What a sad commentary on the pagans of our planet. Let our hearts be broken and emboldened to proclaim Christ and His cross to these sad, deceived foolish people.
