  8. So mocking God is funny? Not to be taken serious?

    When anyone mocks God I do take it serious, and I do not find it funny in the least. I pray that God will have mercy on those who mock Him on judgment day.

    How dare anyone mock Him, the One who gives us life, the One that gave His one and only Son for us.

    Do you forget what God did to Aaron sons when they offered an unholy offering to God? He struck them dead.

    Lev 10:1-2 NIV Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before the LORD, contrary to his command. (2) So fire came out from the presence of the LORD and consumed them, and they died before the LORD.

    You need to remember something, and remember it very clearly, God is Holy and not someone you have the right to make a fool of. You need to remember that we are judged by God laws, not mans, and we need to make sure that we are righteous before God in all that we do, in all that we say, at all times.

    If we profess ourselves to be saved and profess to be followers of Christ Jesus we better learn to walk as Christ walked and put away our childish ways.

    1Pe 2:21 NIrV Christ suffered for you. He left you an example. He expects you to follow in his steps. You too were chosen to suffer.

    Jesus would never make a fool of His father in heaven, ever!

    The church in America my friend is full of wolves in sheep’s clothing and many are on their way to hell under the guise of Christianity all because they refuse to follow the teachings of Christ.

    Read Matthew 7:13-29 , learn it, memorize it, study it, then ask yourselves, is that video good or bad fruit?

    If you say good, read it again and this time pay close attention to Matthew 7:20-23.

    I have a question, would you mock your mother in a video the way that man mocked God? Would you mock your wife or your children in a video the way that man mocked Christ?

    Is it still funny?

    This makes me want to cry at the way so many who claim to be Christians mock my Father who is in heaven.

    Do you now remember how we are to pray?

    Mat 6:9 NASB “Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

    What does Hallowed mean? It means holy, and you do not mock the name of God.

    I have nothing more to say except that I am completely and totally disgusted by anyone who calls themselves a Christian who even for one minute would think that video was funny, or that it is acceptable.

    The God I serve is Holy, and one not to be mocked.

    Eze 36:23 NIrV But I will show everyone how holy my great name is. You have treated it as if it were not holy. So I will use you to show the nations how holy I am. Then they will know that I am the LORD,” announces the LORD and King.

    If you have no fear of God, I fear for you. People profess then believe in God, even the demons believe in God, and yet the tremble! Yet we MOCK Him without a care in the world.

    Jas 2:19 NIrV You believe there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that. And they tremble!

    You need to remember this, even demons respect God, and they are in hell for an eternity.

    It isn’t funny!

  9. I watched of few of the videos on that web site. If it’s meant to be humor, it’s so close to the actual apostasy being preached today that it’s dangerous – beyond the legitimate objections to the mocking of God.

  10. Amen JOV! You got to the heart of the matter, which is that the concept of holiness is lacking in so many “Christians” across America. I say “Christians” because if you aren’t striving for holiness, you aren’t a legitimate Christian. If you think I’m wrong about this, then you need to view the Paul Washer videos, one of which can be found on this site.

    Too many Christians are trying hard to be a friend of the world and a friend of God at the same time. It can’t be done.

    James 4:4 “Do you not know that to be a lover of the world means enmity with God? Therefore, whoever wants to be a lover of the world makes himself an enemy of God.”

    To those of you who find these videos funny, I ask you this: How did your hearts become so hardened? Perhaps a steady diet of rated-R movies, filthy comedians, alcohol, pornography, and the other trappings of today’s American society? To you, these videos probably seem tame compared to what you’re used to filling your days with.

    Am I judging? You bet I am, because I don’t fill my days with this type of garbage, and therefore I have the right to judge you if you are calling yourself a Christian and conducting yourself in this manner. I am deeply offended by these videos. The creators of these videos would call me “humorless and stupid”. Let’s see how smart and funny you are on judgement day.

    I second that and add a hearty AMEN!! How sad are the times in which we live?!? People who profess Christ cannot even grasp His holiness, and find it perfectly acceptable to
    poke fun.
    O Gracious and Eternal Majesty, have mercy on those fools who mock, who are ignorant of your holiness. Have mercy on all who have created a ‘god’ in their minds that is contrary to the God revealed in the Scriptures. I cry out to you to remember, they are but dust. Shut the mouths of those who so vehemently oppose truth and lead many astray in so doing. Bring forth your judgment on the wicked; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Let it be so, all for your name’s sake

  12. I heartily recommend that those who accuse these guys of mocking look up what mocking is…and then look up what parody involves. These guys are more than likely disgusted with goofiness in evangelicalism and are using absurdity to call this craziness out. Instead of taking pot-shots at a humor site, why not call out those who do exactly this sort of “church is here to make me comfortable/entertain me/make me prosperous” attitude that folks like Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, Kerry Shook, Bill Hybels and so on continue to propagate?

  13. Okay, I admit that I may be wrong about this. However, please be clear that I completely agree that our God is not to be mocked.

    I think, though, this is not mockery, but parody. It is the same reason that popular musicians give rights to their tunes to Weird Al Yankovic for the full intention of “making fun” or “mocking” them. But it is not mockery, or they would not agree. It is parody.

    I agree that there are certainly problems with the church in America, people like Joel Osteen call themselves pastors, but the proper term is more like great motivational speakers due to their lack of biblical basis for their messages each Sunday. There are others who also do a serious disservice as they outright damage the message of Christ.

    Is there not a place to have fun? Is humor completely unallowed when it comes to matters of faith?

  14. No, it’s OK to have fun. In fact, me & some of my friends have fun poking fun at some of these false teachers & one friend of mine & we can go back & forth with complete sarcasm. I also enjoy visiting certain theological satire sites. But, this is irreverent towards the Lord. So, basically, I have NO PROBLEM whatsoever with humor, but the issue I have with this video is the matter of reverence.
