Did Rick Warren lie on Larry King? You decide.

  1. To those who would say: “Don’t stand too close to Rick Warren because God might throw a lightning bolt at him,” I would say: “You underestimate God’s aim.” This man is every bit the liar, huckster, and seeker-friendly shyster his image portrays.

But hey, he’s getting people in the door, isn’t he? I mean, that’s the important thing. [/sarcasm]

Something jumped out at me during the 2nd video, at about the 2:10 mark. Warren says,

“Today is the 15th anniversary of the genocide in Rwanda…I’ve been heavily involved in helping rebuild that nation; and the second thing is I’m interested in what the recession is doing to the spiritual climate of our nation.

I wonder where that whole “preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to lost sinners” thing fits into his plans.

  2. It is so clear, Rick Warren did not speak the truth on Larry King Live in 2009 by denying what he previously said and done in 2008. By looking at these two video, Rick Warren lied.

Rick Warren is now a “celebrity” pastor, he seems more concern about acceptance before an audience and and leaving an image to the world about what globally hip things he is now doing than to be found speaking and “walking in the truth”.

    This is really sad.

  3. God’s word is so right

Rick Warren is now a “celebrity” pastor, he seems more concern about acceptance before an audience and and leaving an image to the world about what globally hip things he is now doing than to be found speaking and “walking in the truth”.

here in Omaha Nebraska, we have willow creek association pastors

who at one time were good pastors but now like Rick Warren

seems more concern about acceptance before an audience and and leaving an image to the world about what globally hip things

    they is now doing

than to be found speaking and “walking in the truth”.

it is a tragedy and also a sign of the 2 Timothy 4:3-4 times we are in.

  4. Firstly, Rick Warren is an ordained Southern Baptist pastor. His professed calling is to be a minister of the The Word and a servant of God.

Secondly, Rick Warren is a recognised leading spokesman of American evangelicals, with privileged access to many world leaders and a globally known author of the “PDL” book sold in book stores worldwide with massive circulation in many languages.

Should followers of Jesus Christ be expected not to exercise any discernment nor to feel grieved any all about his many puzzling and shocking PUBLIC statements on Larry King Live and elsewhere which are easily available globally on the internet and popular media?

“For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.” Galatians 1:10

    Shalom
