But the man Christ can be but in one place, and he is now at the right hand of the Majesty on high. It is absurd, it is horrible, both to faith and to reason, to say that Christ’s body is eaten, and that his blood is drunk in tens of thousands of places wherever priests choose to offer what they call “the mass.” A “Mass” of profanity, indeed, it is!
– Charles Spurgeon
1834 – 1892

Amen!
Having just finished preparing a communion message for this coming Sunday, it was quite fitting in a way to stop by and see this quote by Spurgeon.
I agree it is absurd. It is soooo absurd !
Yet what is just as absurd is the willingness of many who profess Christ to simply walk hand in hand with Rome and all her rankness without a care in the world.
It is worth looking into Bloody Mary and the hundreds she killed who would not waiver on this very point.
Glory to God as we “do this in rememberance” of Him!

Agreed, Matthew!
Spurgeon is spot on (as usual).
The audacity of the Romish priests who think they can order the Son of God down from the Father’s right Hand to be re-sacrificed each week… well, that’s just blasphemous!

It’s hard to think that people believe as they do. That the bread and wine change into the body and blood of Jesus.
The bread is ‘mass’ produced. And the wine bottle has a label on it saying, ‘Made in …’, wherever it is made.
Yet, if people make an idol of something, they do.
It might not be wood, stone or something else, but they do bow down to it still.
Lord, help them.

There are so many people who have no idea what communion actually is and means so they just accept whatever is said from the front. You also have the ones that wander from church to church partaking of communion whenever and wherever because they think it keeps them in good standing with God. How sad that so many don’t really care what God has to say about it! So they eat and drink unworthily! Where are those responsible for teaching the truth? Most of them don’t care, either!
