First came the Rubber Ducky Nativity, now here’s this gem depicting the birth of Christ. Nothing says Christmas like psychedelic frogs, eh?

Obviously the biblical meaning of blasphemy has been lost. How would Roman Catholics react if the Pope was depicted as a silly frog in his mitre and robes? How would Muslims react if Mohammed was depicted as a grinning frog? Are Christians to excuse this with: “Let’s not be so serious, it’s just a little harmless fun. Besides, it’s contextualizing the Christmas story to the world. And they’re so cheery and cute, and actually displaying excitement at the birth of the frog/jesus, unlike those dour, solemn nativity sets of the past”?

They are not even cute. I think you are one of the sites that has shown me how ridiculous “Christian” junk is. Thank You! I have become more cautious about what I buy.

Yeah, Deb, they’re rather ugly anyway. It seems that sales of religious trinketry is put up a notch around the Christmas season.
