Wal-Mart now sells cult literature.

A few days ago I entered the book section of a local Wal-Mart and was shocked to see a large section of books on Mormonism. And no, this Wal-Mart was not in Utah.

I then checked the internet and discovered they even sell Mormonism’s plagiarized piece of fiction known as the Book of Mormon online. (To understand more about the Book of Mormon check out this excellent documentary.)

I never thought I’d see the day when a major retailer would carry cult literature. I suppose this isn’t much of stretch for Wal-Mart, though. They’ve been selling Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, and Joyce Meyer for years.

I wonder if the Jehovah’s Witnesses will demand their place on Wal-Mart’s bookshelves next.

  1. As you say – it ain’t much of a stretch. Since Wal-Mart is a pagan company, why not sell Mormon stuff? It’s no worse than Osteen’s bilge, maybe better – culturally speaking.

The “Christian” stuff they sell is mostly tripe.

I go to Wal-Mart for clothes, groceries, and hardware and such. I do not rely on them for my spiritual food.

Them that call themselves Christian and spew filth (such as Jesse Duplantis) need rebuke.

  2. I don’t know why that is a surprise. I wont even be surprised when “Christian” book stores start selling the book of Morman. They are almost there anyways.

  3. I don’t think this is shocking whatsoever, plus wal-mart is free to sell whatever book they please. Will I stop shopping there because of this? of-course not! Shall we boycott the wall-mart?
That would simply be idiotic. Perhaps What is more shocking are these so-called “christian” book stores which carry plenty of “toxic” & “fast-food” christian books. This is were discernment comes in play.
