The help of good and learned men is not to be despised. But there is no commentary to be compared with the teaching of Christ. Thank you Pilgrim. Great food for thought. Pride comes in many disguises, is very deceptive, and we all need to take heed to root it out whenever we become aware of it’s existence within. For how can we expect to have a right relationship with God, or receive anything from Him, when He “resists the proud” (James 4:6).
