The work of the preacher resembles that of the sower. Like the sower, the preacher must sow good seed, if he wants to see fruit. He must sow the pure word of God, and not the traditions of the church, or the doctrines of men. Without this, his labor will be in vain. He may go to and fro, and seem to say much, and to work much in his weekly round of ministerial duty. But there will be no harvest of souls for heaven, no living results, and no conversions.

Wonderful quote!
My husband, and pastor, truly lived this!
He will be in Heaven 3 years this month. (Jan.)
Praise God for bold men who preach/teach unashamedly without fear or favor!
Looking Heavenward today…..maybe today is the day!

Berean Gal,
Looking heavenward is a great perspective. All of my grandparents and a brother placed their faith in Christ, and I look forward to seeing them more and more each day that passes. Sadly, too many forget that “this world is not our home, we are just passing through, our treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue.”
What a blessing that we have a hope of eternal life promised to us by the God Who cannot lie!
