Franklin Graham follows in his father’s footsteps of compromise.

Franklin Graham finds it “ludicrous” that any Christian could object to Rick Warren invoking God’s blessing on Barack Obama and his administration. Frankly, I find it ludicrous that any Christian would even consider asking for God to bless a man who has sworn to defend child-killing and homosexual rights. As Joseph Farah put it, God isn’t going to bless that no matter what Warren intones at the inauguration.

The Graham family has made a practice of speaking smooth, silky, easy messages to U.S. Presidents. There is no John Knox blood running in the Graham veins. There is no John the Baptist precedent from that quarter. When a President campaigns on a platform built on the bones of the preborn, it is the moral obligation of all Christians to cry out. Someone who claims to be a minister of the Gospel has an even greater responsibility to confront evil and to defend the helpless. The Grahams have refused to do that and the bloodshed continues.

It would have been a horrendous thing to have a Christian believer pray an invocation for Hitler and his murderous leaders who killed 6 million Jews. It is equally monstrous to think that a Christian minister today would pray an invocation for the murderous leaders who have overseen the butchery of 50 million American babies. Franklin Graham, we’re not going to remain silent in the face of Warren’s treachery, now or ever.

Seven Canadian students suspended for refusing to be indoctrinated.

Seven Christian students in Quebec have been handed suspensions in the last few days – and could face expulsions – for refusing to participate in a new mandatory Ethics and Religious Culture course that, according to a critic, is a “superficial mishmash of trendy theoretical platitudes” with the goal of convincing children that “all religions – including pagan animism and cults – are equally ‘true.'”

“Purpose” = “Compromise”

Rick Warren, pastor of the Church at Laodicea Saddleback Church, in an effort to show homosexuals that he could be just as tolerant of their sin as the next person, visited a gay thrift store in West Hollywood–all in the name of “Purpose” and “Unity” you know. You can see him trying to strike a “tolerant” pose here, with his arm around the openly gay owner of the store.

We got this pic, taken yesterday at Out of the Closet thrift store. That’s Warren on the right (naturally), his arm around Erol Sarabi, who is openly gay. Warren, who supports the ban on gay marriage which has not sat real well with some Obama supporters, bought 8 to 10 books, two of which were his own (that doesn’t help with his Amazon ranking). Warren told Sarabi not to believe everything he reads, that he does a lot for AIDS research and was happy that Out of the Closet does free AIDS testing.

“Two of which were his own?” Are you kidding me?? He’s happy they do free AIDS testing? Is he happy they are living in outright sin also?

Meanwhile, in another attempt to soften his anti-homosexual stance, Warren pulled a message from his website. John Aravosis of Americablog noticed that Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church website on Friday said it explicitly bans gay “unwilling to repent of their homosexual lifestyle” to become members. That message has since been removed. But one thing that hasn’t been permanently removed but “rather repurposed for clarity” is the site’s Q & A section addressing homosexuality. Kristin Cole, the press representative for the Saddleback Church purportedly e-mailed the gay website queerty saying:

I wanted to make sure you were aware that the Q & A addressing homosexuality on the Saddleback Church Web site has not been permanently removed, but rather repurposed for clarity. Is Rick Warren ashamed of taking–and maintaining–a biblical stance against homosexuality? It seems as though the quote from Martin Luther posted by Desert Pastor should be passed along to Mr. Warren.

I have to wonder something: how did the media get wind of this? How did TMZ find out that Mr. Purpose was at this thrift store? Paparazzi? I doubt it. How many Hollywood photogs are following Rick Warren around, cataloging his every move? No doubt The P.E.A.C.E. Pastor had someone put out the word he was visiting this place so they could do a photo-op of this event. It’s obvious the store owner didn’t approach Warren about having this picture taken, let alone forward it to the media.

You know, it wouldn’t seem so fishy if the Purpose Driven Pope hadn’t just been chosen to do the invocation at the inauguration for The Obamanation with all the kerfluffle that surrounded it. But the timing, the chutzpah, the obvious ham-handed attempt to look “tolerant” to those who are very intolerant of Christians–all in the name of “Purpose”–This was one big PR stunt meant to drive up book sales–Pastor Warren’s favorite “Purpose.”

Rick Warren to give invocation at Barack Hussein Obama’s inauguration.

rw It’s official, Rick Warren is scheduled to deliver the invocation at pro-abortion, pro-infanticide, pro-homosexual Barack Hussein Obama’s inauguration (see here). So far the one’s making the biggest stink about this is the homosexual advancement crowd (see here). Maybe that’s because the Christians aren’t shocked anymore by those who claim to represent Christianity (read: we’ve come to expect this from the likes of Rick Warren).

I’m not sure why the pro-homosexual crowd is so stunned, though. After all, Barack Hussein Obama has invited the Lesbian and Gay Band Association to march in the inauguration. Isn’t that enough of a compromise? Or is it the total absence of all opposition that these “tolerant” special interest groups are seeking?

After all, that seems to be about all that worthless rag seems to be good for lately. Consider their latest cover story–“Our Mutual Joy“, the attempt of one writer (Lisa Miller) to use Scripture to support homosexual marriage. She begins with an argument we have heard so many times from our LDS visitors:

Let’s try for a minute to take the religious conservatives at their word and define marriage as the Bible does. Shall we look to Abraham, the great patriarch, who slept with his servant when he discovered his beloved wife Sarah was infertile? Or to Jacob, who fathered children with four different women (two sisters and their servants)? Abraham, Jacob, David, Solomon and the kings of Judah and Israel—all these fathers and heroes were polygamists.

Ho-hum. This argument, when examined in light of Scripture, falls so flat on its face that even Joan Rivers’ plastic surgeon couldn’t fix it. Without going into detail, if you read the FULL accounts of these stories, you find that they paid a steep price for their adultery/polygamy (Abram + Hagar = Ishmael; David’s adultery with Bathsheba led to Absalom’s revolt; Solomon’s polygamy led to the troubles he outlines in Ecclesiastes. I adressed the issue of polygamy here.)

She then goes on to equate the “plight” of homosexuals being “denied the right to marry” with the battle over slavery in the US. I will not even dignify that crass accusation with comment.

Then she comes out with this gem:

To which there are two obvious responses: First, while the Bible and Jesus say many important things about love and family, neither explicitly defines marriage as between one man and one woman.

Uh…yeah…right. She might want to actually read the Bible before she comments on it. Matthew 19:4-6—And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who madethem at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” Who has she been having Bible study with? Jack Black? “A MAN shall be joned to his WIFE.” These are both in the SINGULAR. Man. Wife. No plurals. 1st Timothy 3:2, 12—A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior…Let deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.

Social conservatives point to Adam and Eve as evidence for their one man, one woman argument—in particular, this verse from Genesis: “Therefore shall a man leave his mother and father, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh.” But as Segal says, if you believe that the Bible was written by men and not handed down in its leather bindings by God, then that verse was written by people for whom polygamy was the way of the world.

Contrasts of death, and another “invitation.”

wal-mart-stampede While just a couple days ago over 100 people died in India at the hands of merciless, bloodthirsty Muslims (and the city is still currently under siege as of the writing of this post), today in America a 34 year-old Wal-Mart employee was killed after being trampled to death when a mob of shoppers broke down the doors to get their hands on the holiday shopping bargains. What was this mans life worth?

The CBS news article also contains a cellphone video from a shopper which shows emergency personnel futility trying to save the mans life. What a contrast between us in the States and the rest of the world.

America, oh America, what have you become? While the world is in turmoil we numb ourselves on video games, text messaging, television, and worshiping our pop idols who attend 20 million dollar parties. We simply don’t get it, do we? Today we eat, drink, be merry, and shop till we drop, yet we have no idea that tomorrow we die.

And while we’re out consuming, consuming, consuming, we have received yet another “invitation” from the bloodthirsty terrorists to “embrace Islam.”

The “religion of peace” strikes again!

While we in the States were making plans, preparing meals, and spending time with family, it seems that the “religion of peace” was conducting a “ministry outreach” in India.

I don’t want to sound like an alarmist, and this is certainly not a “thus saith the Lord,” but America better brace itself because this relentless Hall-spawned advancement of Islam is going to visit our shores real soon . . . again.

Sadly the masses have fallen back to sleep since 9/11 partly because President George W. Bush (whether you like him or not) has taken the fight to the terrorists–keeping the Islamic Jihadists busy in Iraq and Afghanistan and keeping them out of our cities and our neighborhoods. But with a newly elected president who’s tougher on the Second Amendment and the unborn than on terrorism, I hope that at least some of us will be prepared for what’s about to befall our nation.

Those who want to see this nation (and Israel) eliminated will most certainly take another swipe at us once our new president takes office. Especially when you consider that Barrack Hussein Obama sat under the intolerant, anti-American, hate-filled, socialist, black liberation rhetoric of Jeremiah Wright for twenty years. It’s difficult to listen to that vitriolic ranting for two decades (against the very country you live in) and not be influenced.

They lost the suit and now must provide a service to gays looking for other gays. What other hallmarks of the Christian faith will be attacked in the coming years? The ‘Fairness Doctrine’ Comes to eHarmony

When news broke last week that the homosexual lobby in New Jersey had won a decision against online dating service eHarmony, we were once again reminded that the pursuit of “equal rights” for homosexuals is often an attempt to impose their agenda. It would behoove us to learn from this that the Left, and particularly the militant homosexual wing of the Left, will not stop until they have defiled all that we hold dear and have corrupted all we hold incorruptible. In what proved to be another case of discrimination victim (gay Eric McKinley) vs. business owner and “bigot” (Neil Clark Warren, founder eHarmony), we learned that McKinley had gotten his little feelings hurt when he learned that eHarmony had no options for men to meet men on their website. According to USA Today, when McKinley saw that only straight couples could meet on eHarmony he found it “very frustrating… very humiliating to think that other people can do it and I can’t.” McKinley filed suit in 2005, and with the help of the New Jersey Civil Rights Division, reached a settlement which resulted in eHarmony paying $5,000 to McKinley, $50,000 to the New Jersey Civil Rights Division, and opening a sister site for gays which will “include photos of same-sex couples, as well as individual same-sex users, in advertising materials used to promote its same-sex matching services.”

For years, bloggers and writers for http://www.queerly.com have asked why those “bastards” at eHarmony “discriminate against queers?” And they have been especially outraged that Warren founded eHarmony with ties to that “homo-hater” Dr. James Dobson at Focus on the Family. Pay attention folks: There’s a plot afoot here. When Leftists cry “discrimination” they are usually criticizing the exercise of someone else’s choice in the name of choice (imagine that). Sites like “queerly,” groups like GLAD or NAMBLA, and books that extol “queer theory” spread their vileness by casting everything in a negative light via the presumption that every person or entity that does not include homosexuals is anti-gay (which would be like saying the owner of a knife store is necessarily anti-gun). Thus homosexual lobbyists presume Warren purposely founded his site to exclude gays instead of adopting the more rational posture that he created the site to appeal to his Christian customers. What the gay community does not often admit is the fact that http://www.match.com has had a site where men can look for other men for some time. But militant gays aren’t happy with having only some options available to them – they want all options available to them. Regardless of who owns the sites (or businesses), and regardless of what religious affiliation that site (or business) might have, every knee shall bow to the gay agenda or face discriminatory charges. (See folks, it’s not the pursuit of equal rights that’s taking place here; it’s the attempt to impose an agenda.) The other reason I bring up the fact that http://www.match.com provides dating/relationship services for homosexuals is to demonstrate once more that the tactics of the Left are not simply anti-choice but anti-free market. Ideally, a business survives in the free market by offering a service for which customers are willing to pay. If enough customers want a service that is not offered and you have the capital to start a business that offers it, then you have an opportunity to make quite bit of money. And there are many such opportunities because the tastes and desires of American customers are diverse. But militant gays cannot tolerate diversity. Therefore, instead of launching their own version of eHarmony they go to court, interfere with the market, and force Warren to allow homosexuals to form relationships on his website.

This is exactly what our incoming president and the Leftists in congress want to do to privately owned radio stations. Even though the Left already has liberal talk radio via tax-payer-funded N.P.R. and the glorious “Air America” network, which has proven unable to attract the advertising dollars necessary to pay staff salaries, they want to tell the rest of America’s radio station owners what can and cannot be aired based on political ideology. It’s not that they will then listen to the stations; it’s just that they want to control the stations. As you read various opinions about McKinley v. eHarmony remember that the people who were truly discriminated against were those who had chosen eHarmony over other relationship services (such as match.com) because of its Christian principles as well as the stockholders of eHarmony who own it because it had a specific niche in the market. (I say “had” instead of “has” because it’s novel feature was greatly diminished thanks to the outcome of the case in New Jersey.)And no matter what the bloggers at queerly.com write you must also remember that this: like all other leftist endeavors, was simply a power play. If you don’t believe me, consider this: After the decision against eHarmony was made in McKinley’s favor, USA Today reported that he said he “might consider” using the site now. In other words, after all the suing, all the “discrimination,” and all the hurt feelings, he’s not even sure he wants to use eHarmony; but he was certainly sure he wanted to punish the site’s founder for making a decision with which he did not agree.

Militant homosexuals bring the persecution.

fire-church I’ve decided to create a new category on DefCon entitled Christian Persecution. I foresee this phenomenon only increasing in the years to come in the West (it’s nothing new elsewhere in the world) and feel there’s no better time than now to begin chronicling it.

So for our first entry in this new category I present to you the militant homosexuals who are turning up the heat.

In this article the Lasing State Journal reports that homosexual rights protesters disrupted a church service at Mount Hope Church in the Delta Township. Law enforcement responded but no arrests were made. The protest included the pulling of a fire alarm and the display of an inverted pink cross. The Catholic.org website reporting on this same incident describes in this article how the protesters used megaphones to chant “Jesus is a homo.”

OneNewsNow.com reports in this article that homosexual activists are becoming increasingly confrontational and aggressive.

WorldNetDaily.com is also reporting on this new wave of homosexual intolerance as a mob of activists swarm Christians (see the article and video here).

And apparently now E-Harmony (the online dating service) is being required by law to provide their service for same sex dating (check it out here).

“I applaud the American people for their courage and the great morality that they showed,” Afghan President Hamid Karzai said. French President Nicolas Sarkozy was even more glowing in a letter to Obama: “In choosing you, the American people have chosen the path of change, openness and optimism. Your election raises immense hope in France, Europe and beyond: the hope of an open America.”

Nelson Mandela, as qualified as he is complimentary in his comments, gushed, “Your victory has demonstrated that no person anywhere in the world should not dare to dream of wanting to change the world for a better place.”

Newspapers at first stumbled over each other to declare Obama the winner, and then to find the language to match the moment.

Britain
The sense of global excitement is palpable in Britain, the United States’ closest ally. Even before the results officially came in, the British press was both confident and biased: Headlines read “Gobama!” (Daily Mirror); “The History Man” (The Independent); and “Yanks Very Much” (The Star).
Obama’s victory is being especially heralded among the young in London. “Obama is an inspiration, especially as an orator,” 23-year-old Alexandra Demper told ABCNews. “We can’t quite say what the effects will be for Britain yet, but it is a great change for America.”
Of course, not everyone is pleased with the result. A taxi driver and former police officer told ABCNews: “An amateur is now the most powerful person in the world. A salesman is all Obama is. He has no experience in foreign affairs.”

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown sent his “sincere congratulations” to the U.S. president-elect, saying Obama would be a “true friend to Britain.”
Meanwhile, the leader of the opposition, David Cameron, said Obama’s victory has restored America’s status as a “beacon of hope.”

What have we as a nation asked for in this new president?
Be very careful for what you ask for! God is giving us what we as a nation asked for.

Religious freedom out the window??
Abortions run rampant and increase??
Taxes raised to help fund the abortions??
Gas prices will sky-rocket within the next couple of months??

Immorality will reign over our country. It has already begun and it is only going to get worse. Can you feel the Last Day’s are upon us?

Put everything to prayer.
Spend your time reaching out to the lost before it is too late. There is not much time left. If we are not doing the Lord’s work, then we are wasting our time. God is looking for obedience to His Word, not just smushy, lovey-dovey kind of love for God. He wants to see action. Doing His will while we are still on this earth.

If He comes back today, are you ready? Are your friends saved? Family members saved?
Or are you just concerned about yourself and meeting “your” needs?

You asked for a president to lead this country. Where will he lead us?
I don’t know what the future holds with our president but I do know what the future holds for us from God.

The world is going down hill fast! Is this what you want for us?  We as a nation seem to want a quick fix, but are we willing to pay the price?  Will other religions now be considered our national heritage instead of Christianity?  Will proclaiming the name of Jesus be safe in our own country much longer?  As a nation, we have asked for and voted for change.  Will you still stand up for Christ when the world demands satisfaction from you?

Obama’s Muslim faith

Oops! Barry Hussein slips up in an interview and discloses just where his “faith” is–and it ain’t in the Christian God! Barry lets it slip that his “god” is the Muslim “god” Allah. And the most galling thing about this clip–he doesn’t even blink! When it comes to profesional liars, this guy make Bill Clinton look like an ameteur.

Well, I did my early voting yesterday, and cast my vote against Islam and Sharia Law. I ain’t voting for a baby-killing Muslim.

Public school holds surprise “Gay Day” for kindergartners.

World Net Daily is reporting that a California public school held a surprise “Gay Day” for kindergartners. Read the article here. I wonder what would have happened if they had a surprise “Bible Day.”

This begs the question, “Should Christians take their children out of the public schools?”
