Mormon blasphemy illustrated.

The following picture is found on page 126 of the 1972 LDS Family Home Evening Manual to describe to Mormon children “how Jesus was the only begotten Son of God.”

Utter blasphemy!

Welcome to “Christianity” in 2009.

*** UPDATE: THE VIDEO IS BACK UP AND CAN BE VIEWED AGAIN ***

When the shepherds of the Church forgo the preaching of the Gospel and resort to appealing to the lost through emotion and entertainment, they are left breathless having to keep coming up with new material to attract and retain the goats they’ve herded into their country clubs with steeples.

But when you’re really hurting to attract people and you’ve run out of ideas, you could always resort to groveling. This video is an example of what happens when goat herders stop relying on preaching the Gospel that saves people, and instead opt for every possible form of manipulation.   What an absolute embarrassment.

Slice of Laodicea weighs in on this foolishness quite aptly:

“When you see videos like the one below, it is difficult to imagine that Christianity used to produce some of the finest minds in the world. The brilliance of men like John Owen and Jonathan Edwards who submitted their minds to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, continues to shine down through the centuries. Harvard and Yale were at one time Christian institutions, dedicated to the Gospel and developing minds to the glory of God.

Fast forward to 2009 and the rotting corpse of Western Christianity. This buffoonery is what now fills churches today—the entire idiotic scene inspired by a children’s cartoon of singing and dancing vegetables. Infantalism rules, literacy is dead, and God-given intellects are dead, suffocated under years of video game playing, movie and television watching. Hard to believe that Christians used to produce books like “Bondage of the Will”, and translations of the Scriptures from the original languages. Today, pastors and church laity are reading “graphic novel” (comic book) versions of the Bible because they struggle to grasp anything beyond a one syllable word. Here are some of evangelicalism’s finest in action. Watch and weep.”

The fruit of John Crowder and Benjamin Dunn.

blasphemy

“You shall know them by their fruit.” – Matthew 7:20

My intention was to never post on this foolishness again, but defenders of this evil have surfaced here recently (on this post) and so I felt one more post may be in order before putting this garbage to rest.

The wickedness of John Crowder and Benjamin Dunn continues its long march of destruction as it continues to shipwreck more souls.

For those who are new to DefCon and have no idea what this wickedness is about (and why I refer to it as “wickedness”), you must first understand that the unregenerate God-mockers in the videos below are disciples of Crowder and Dunn. You can see what the Crowder and Dunn wolves are all about in the post The New Breed of Blasphemous Preachers.

Another disciple of Crowder and Dunn and another pied piper leading souls to Hell is Captain Whacked the Pirate Preacher. His downward spiral into his Satanic majesties’ abyss continues with his latest completely demonic display of hatred toward God seen in this video featured on A Little Leaven (viewer discretion advised).

Then there’s Stacy Denboer and Cait. Stacy and Cait are both victims of this wickedness and are just pawns in this evil game.

These wolves are part of a demonic movement of false teachers advancing a worldly, Hell-born, Satan-inspired philosophy called “tokin’ the ghost” and “getting high on the most high.”

So, now that you’ve been acquainted with this foolishness, here’s the fruit of Crowder and Dunn seen in the lives of Cait, Jenn, and Stef as they heap wrath upon themselves for all the world to see:

When the Bible’s simply not enough.

football-on-tvI will provide absolutely no commentary on this. I think the opening quote from the news article entitled Pastor Finds Lessons in Superbowl Commercials speaks for itself:

“A Grapevine preacher has found inspiration in the Super Bowl, saying there are valuable lessons to be learned — from the commercials. Ken Diehm, the senior pastor at First United Methodists Church asked his congregation last week to text him about the commercials they want him to preach about.”

Have you heard this joke?

Two “dudes” die and go to “Heaven.” They don’t really recognize where they’re at and they even seem surprised to be there. Then one of the “dudes” tries to “pick up” a female angel by asking her if she’s single, only to be scolded by the other “dude” for being inappropriate. Then they (appropriately?) mock the Heaven they find themselves in.

Now here’s the punchline: This was done by a professing “Christian Church.”

Oh, how they make the mockery of God seem so hip, cool, and relevant!

Seventh-day Adventism: Satan will bear your sins.

ellen-g-whiteThe founding false prophetess of Seventh-day Adventism offered the following doosey of a heresy on page 422 of the book The Great Controversy:

It was seen, also, that while the sin offering pointed to Christ as a sacrifice, and the high priest represented Christ as a mediator, the scapegoat typified Satan, the author of sin, upon whom the sins of the truly penitent will finally be placed. When the high priest, by virtue of the blood of the sin offering, removed the sins from the sanctuary, he placed them upon the scapegoat. When Christ, by virtue of His own blood, removes the sins of His people from the heavenly sanctuary at the close of his ministration, he will place them upon Satan, who, in the execution of the judgment, must bear the final penalty. The scapegoat was sent away into a land not inhabited, never to come again into the congregation of Israel. So will Satan be forever banished from the presence of God and His people, and he will be blotted from existence in the final destruction of sin and sinners.

Rank heresy! Utter blasphemy!

Jesus alone had our iniquity placed upon Him (Isaiah 53:6); He who knew no sin became sin on our behalf (2 Corinthians 5:21); and it was Jesus Christ–God in the flesh–who bore our sins in his body on the cross (1 Peter 2:24).

A business?

dollar-sign From Thoughts on the Way:

American Christendom a Business

A Bible teacher gave a summary of Christian history’s movement in a class to beginning students:

“Christianity started in Palestine as a fellowship; it moved to Greece and became a philosophy; it moved to Italy and became an institution; it moved to Europe and became a culture; it then came to America and became an enterprise; an enterprise–that’s a business.”

After a few moments a young lady, the youngest student in the class, raised her hand, asking a simple question, “A business? But isn’t it supposed to be a body?”

When the teacher said, “Yes,” the girl continued, “But when a body becomes a business, isn’t that a prostitute?”

The answer is yes; American professing Christendom is a prostitute, and any professing Christian, church, or organization that uses the message or the body for financial gain is guilty and will prove to be false.

But not the true church of Jesus Christ, who is continually becoming a holy bride, preparing for her Bridegroom. Don’t confuse the two- the true body of Jesus Christ is not Christendom.

Have you seen me?

todd-bentley-milk-carton It wasn’t long ago that a gruff and tattooed charlatan sprung onto the world stage offering healings like a snake oil salseman. His followers defended him no matter what lies, deception, and heresy spewed from his forked tongue, even as he tried to get people to “believe in the angel.”

Then, faster than you can say, “Sheek A Boom Bah,” this once idol of Charismatics simply vanished off the face of the earth without a trace (infidelity scandals have a tendency to do that).

And the only thing more shocking than the absence of this “anointed prophet of God” is the absence of all of his defenders and supporters who ridiculed, attacked, and defamed all those who dared to examine and question Todd Bentley’s theology and practices.

The silence is deafening as the experience chasers sit quietly in the shadows waiting for their next big thing. I bet it’s going to be a doosey!

Thanks to Adrian and Social Hazard for making this post possible with photshop. Once again you’ve come through, Berry. Thanks a million.

And now, the “witch goat.”

witch-goat-of-nigeria From the same country plunged into spiritual darkness that brought you the heart-wrenching sad stories of The Witch Children of Africa, now Nigeria has a goat held in custody for car theft.

Why?

Because they believe the goat is a man who–by the power of witchcraft–transformed himself into the goat to avoid capture.

Where does Rick Warren go from here?

rick-warren Now that Rick Warren’s inauguration prayer has been examined and exposed by discerning Christians as nothing more than honoring God with his lips, and that same prayer has also angered the unbelieving left, where does he go from here? His prayer was a watershed event that has brought him to a fork in his broad road.

The man who has contributed more to the mile-wide, inch-deep church than anyone else alive today by compromising Biblical truths and blurring the lines between things of God and things of this world has a big decision ahead of him. If human nature and history are any barometer of what’s to come, then we should expect to see Mr. Warren continue to drift leftward ever so swiftly.

As Ingrid Sclueter so aptly observes:

“Rick Warren is faced with the fact that he is either going to have to state that all paths lead to God or confirm, unequivocally, that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father. If he explicitly states that Christ is the only way, he will no longer be welcomed in the halls of political power, and he can forget any further snugglefests at the White House, the Council on Foreign Relations, the UN, and Davos.

As it stands now, he really pleases nobody. Straddling a fence gets really uncomfortable after a time. I predict that Warren is going to make a sharp move left theologically very shortly for this very reason. The Purpose-Driven machine has gone about as far as it’s going to go with his present approach. Just as Warren was willing to remove negative statements about homosexuality and church membership at the Saddleback site, he is, without doubt, going to have to delete even more material to move ahead to the rest of his spiritual program for the world.”

Mark Driscoll praises his “brother in Christ” Rick Warren.

mark-driscoll-handsrick-warren-beach-scene

From Slice of Laodicea:

Sex expert Pastor Mark Driscoll took time out from his bedroom advice blog to praise Rick Warren for his prayer blessing for Barack Obama. With Driscoll’s promotion of sites like ChristianNymphos.org and its advice on things like how to be a Christian dominatrix, the public thank-you may be a mixed blessing for the Purpose-Driven author who really doesn’t need any more controversy right now. That Mark Driscoll couldn’t discern the problem with praying God’s blessing on our death-promoting President should not register as a surprise. Driscoll also can’t discern the problem with playing a pastoral Dr. Ruth for his sex-addled followers.

To use Scriptural precedent for publicly praying God’s blessing on a leader who is an enemy of God is an abomination. Rick Warren’s prayer was the equivalent of standing up before Pol Pot, Idi Amin or Joseph Stalin and asking God to bless them. Yes, yes. We must pray for our leaders that they will have wisdom as they murder millions of innocent people. We’re simply fulfilling Scripture’s requirements, you know. We pray that Mr. Hitler will serve with excellence and distinction. We ask that Pol Pot would do well in his killing fields and that Idi Amin would be strengthened in his task of raping and torturing innocent women. There is no difference in Mr. Warren’s prayer for Obama unless Mr. Driscoll does not recognize the humanity of the children who have been killed already under Roe and who will be murdered with the Freedom of Choice Act Obama has promised to sign into law within days.

God save us from this kind of evil, aided and abetted by the counterfeit shepherds in this land. The prophets and priests are profane. They run to and fro on the face of the earth, saying, “God said so,” when God did not say so. See Jeremiah 23 for a full description of what we have in our plexiglass pulpits today.

Where’s the sermon?

As you watch these two video clips you have to ask yourself, “Where is the preaching of the Word?” These people are entertained (and manipulated) so easily that it’s frightening.

I had to endure this foolishness back in the 1990’s and I see that fifteen years later this wickedness is still popular among the “experience chasers.” I pity these people because I was once in their shoes. I however, never succumbed to the possession / emotionalism / manipulation that they experience. When the “holy laughter” movement came to my church, I summarily left (with ridicule by those who stayed) only to watch the church crumble within a few months with sex scandals starting with the pastor. Oh, how I wasted so much of my life under these false teachers.

Guitar Praise: Another attempt at mimicking the fleeting fads of the world.

Only in an environment of prolonged comfort, safety, security, and prosperity could this be possible. I wonder if our Christian brothers and sisters being tortured in prisons around the world are secretly coveting this latest installment from the Den of Robbers. I also wonder if this is being marketed to the underground Church in Communist countries.

Warning: At just under 1 minute into the three minute video, they advertise the nomanclature of the product using a well endowed woman wearing a tight V-neck shirt. I’m sure it was not intentional; no one selling a cheap toy exploiting Christianity would ever use worldly marketing tactics . . . no, never.

Those viewers who seek modesty and purity may want to SKIP past that part.
