We live in strange times. We live in times where people can tell you about the ten hills, and the ten kings, and ten horns, and ten heads in Revelation, and yet don’t know diddly about justification.

This is one of the most disturbing and heart-wrenching documentaries I’ve ever seen. This shocking six-part video depicts what I view as simply the Word of Faith heresy taken to its logical conclusion (and perpetuated in the fertile soil of pagan superstition) in a land where no laws exist to protect children. You can’t help but be moved to tears by the human wreckage left in the wake of Pentecostalism’s sweep across Nigeria as children are starved, tortured, beaten, and killed because some “prophet” or “prophetess” labels them a witch. Stepping Stones (the only known organization helping these children) said the following on their website:
“Stepping Stones Nigeria does not wish to denounce any faith organisation. However the role of the church, especially some of the new Pentecostals, in spreading the belief in child witches cannot be underestimated. There are numerous so-called pastors in the region who are wrongly branding children as ‘witches’ mainly for economic self gain and personal recognition.”
This is a documentary that you must see, but be warned, it contains some graphic and disturbing images and material.
I’ve posted my own title/description preceding each video.
One:
The false prophet’s gold wrist watch (seen at 4:44 in the video) reveals his true intentions

I should as soon expect a farmer to prosper in business who contented himself with sowing his fields and never looking at them till harvest, as expect a believer to attain much holiness who was not diligent about his Bible reading, his prayers, and the use of his Sundays.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any lower or more wicked than the fetal bites cookie cutter.
From the fetal terrorist organization Planned Parenthood who brought you The Negroe Project, genocidal racism, and propaganda cartoons reminiscent of Nazi Germany, now comes their latest head-dive into evil.
Just like King Herod, now you too can give the gift of murder this Christmas. Planned Parenthood is offering Christmas gift certificates that can be used for abortions. Check out the news video by clicking here.

While just a couple days ago over 100 people died in India at the hands of merciless, bloodthirsty Muslims (and the city is still currently under siege as of the writing of this post), today in America a 34 year-old Wal-Mart employee was killed after being trampled to death when a mob of shoppers broke down the doors to get their hands on the holiday shopping bargains. What was this mans life worth?
The CBS news article also contains a cellphone video from a shopper which shows emergency personnel futility trying to save the mans life. What a contrast between us in the States and the rest of the world.
America, oh America, what have you become? While the world is in turmoil we numb ourselves on video games, text messaging, television, and worshiping our pop idols who attend 20 million dollar parties. We simply don’t get it, do we? Today we eat, drink, be merry, and shop till we drop, yet we have no idea that tomorrow we die.
And while we’re out consuming, consuming, consuming, we have received yet another “invitation” from the bloodthirsty terrorists to “embrace Islam.”
For those who don’t understand the significance of this, I urge you to check out the post A Storm is Brewing While the Masses Sleep and be sure to listen to the accompanying short audio clip on that post.
And He told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man was very productive.”And he began reasoning to himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no place to store my crops?’ “Then he said, ‘This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.’And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come; take your ease, eat, drink and be merry.”‘ “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?’ Luke 12:16-20
While America celebrated Thanksgiving, India was reeling from a coordinated attack which targeted Americans and Britons. While we in the States were making plans, preparing meals, and spending time with family, it seems that the “religion of peace” was conducting a “ministry outreach” in India.
I don’t want to sound like an alarmist, and this is certainly not a “thus saith the Lord,” but America better brace itself because this relentless Hall-spawned advancement of Islam is going to visit our shores real soon . . . again.
Sadly the masses have fallen back to sleep since 9/11 partly because President George W. Bush (whether you like him or not) has taken the fight to the terrorists–keeping the Islamic Jihadists busy in Iraq and Afghanistan and keeping them out of our cities and our neighborhoods. But with a newly elected president who’s tougher on the Second Amendment and the unborn than on terrorism, I hope that at least some of us will be prepared for what’s about to befall our nation.

Those who want to see this nation (and Israel) eliminated will most certainly take another swipe at us once our new president takes office. Especially when you consider that Barrack Hussein Obama sat under the intolerant, anti-American, hate-filled, socialist, black liberation rhetoric of Jeremiah Wright for twenty years. It’s difficult to listen to that vitriolic ranting for two decades (against the very country you live in) and not be influenced.

Most terrorist experts agree that America will be attacked again, and it’s not an if but a when. Anyone who’s paying attention to what’s going on (and not too preoccupied with Fantasy Football or American Idol) can see the handwriting on the wall. So my question is this: What do you think the next attack on America will be by the “religion of peace“?

Yes, it’s true, but wait till you hear what he said.
In few countries is the failure of Christian humanism more apparent than in Thailand. There, after 150 years of missionaries showing marvelous social compassion, Christians still make up only two percent of the entire population. Self-sacrificing missionaries probably have done more to modernize the country than any other single force. Thailand owes to missionaries its widespread literacy, first printing press, first university, first hospital, first doctor, and almost every other benefit of education and science. In every area, including trade and diplomacy, Christian missionaries put the needs of the host nation first and helped usher in the 20th century. Meanwhile, millions have slipped into eternity without the Lord. They died more educated, better governed, and healthier—but they died without Christ and are bound for Hell.

Your sermon of the week is a two-part message entitled Monergistic Regeneration by Pastor Arturo Azurdia. Pastor Azurdia lays out the fundamentals of regeneration: specifically it’s all God and no us, because salvation is of the Lord.

Monergistic Regeneration (Part Two)
If you enjoyed these messages I recommend checking out the book Justification and Regeneration by Charles Leiter.

Earlier this month my wife stumbled upon something shocking. While perusing Westminster Bookstore (one of our favorite online book sellers) she asked me, “Did you know that Westminster Bookstore is selling Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Church?” I thought to myself there must be some mistake. So I walked from the kitchen over to the computer where she was at because I had to see it with my own eyes. I wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t see it: the reformed online book seller Westminster was indeed selling Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Church.
My wife and I both sent Westminster an e-mail (separately) in regards to this matter on November 3rd. It’s been three weeks and neither of us have received a reply. So it is with great sadness that I am removing them from DefCon’s Online Bookstores category as I can no longer endorse them.
However, I still can continue to endorse such trusted book sellers as Family Faith Books, Monergism Books, Vision Forum, and North Hampton Press. And now I am excited to introduce a new kid on the block: Behemoth.com.
Behemoth.com is run by Vision Forum (both very pro-family and pro-home school) and is definitely worth checking out. They offer a wide variety of materials and a daily free download.
The majority of Christian teaching emphasizes individual doctrines of the Bible rather than presenting the Bible as one complete, interdependent revelation of God. Heresies, misrepresentation, and overemphasis of certain Scriptures, and denominationalism can, in most cases, be traced to this lack of chronological and panoramic Bible teaching.

Let’s play “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.” For $500,000: Which of these churches was a growing church in the book of Revelation; the church at Laodicea (Rev 3:14-22), which saw itself as rich and wealthy and in need of nothing or the church at Smyrna (Rev. 2:8-11), which was described as poor, in tribulation, and facing great persecution? Need a lifeline you say? Here you go: God said of the Laodicean church that he would spit them out of his mouth, but of the Smyrna church that they would receive the crown of life.

And the downward spiral of sin continues as the pro-abortionists and supporters of the murder of children revel in their abominable wicked acts.
In celebration of Roe v. Wade, a supporter of fetal-terrorism named “Big Pig” created this atrocity called the fetal bites cookie cutter.
You can read more about this here at WordNetDaily.com. I think Ingrid Schlueter summed this up best when she said, “Do you get the sense that God’s cup of wrath is just about full?“

And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.
Romans 1:28-31
How can a man be “in the right” before God? This is the dilemma that has tormented men down through history. It caused Martin Luther to crawl on his knees up the steps of the so-called Scala Sancta in Rome, and induced monks to wear hair shirts embedded with fishhooks in an attempt to pay for their sins. To this day, it causes natives of the South Sea Islands to sacrifice chickens and sprinkle their blood to the gods. In more “civilized” countries, many settle for “going to church” or some other form of “good deeds” to placate their guilty consciences. And everywhere men try to “justify” themselves by rationalizing or excusing their evil actions. How can a man be right with God? There is only one answer: A man can be right with God only through the life and death of the Lord Jesus Christ on his behalf.
